3 Natural gas burners, 3 DSIs and regulator for homebrew system
Selling 2 90k BTU(5" inlet) and 1 160k BTU(75" inlet) natural gas jet(wok) burners with 3 Fenwal DSIs(Direct Spark Ignitors) with their electrode/sensor and a NG regulator(75" inlet) I am including the high voltage wire for the spark leads. Which is difficult for the layman to acquire. The DSIs are fuel agnostic; they will work with NG or Propane. Burners, DSIs and regulator are all in excellent condition. I am asking for $125/DSI and $20/burner- which is a deal, really. The burners normally retail for $45- $85 and often times around $125. The DSIs are normally $155- 240 each- they simply are expensive. I also have a 4th NiB DSI for a spare. Which I will sell for an additional $140. I used these on my homebrewing system. When I had one and when I had NG service, but they would work equally well on a grill, smoker, etc. With ... morethese connected to temperature controllers, I could set a temperature for any of the 3 vessels and walk away, leaving the controller to maintain or raise the temperature without worrying that I'd return to find a burner extinguished and the gas flowing- or having exceeded the desired temperature. And, it was fantastic not needing to concern myself with buying propane or lugging propane cans around. I used a quick disconnect hose to connect to the gas line, then disconnect and put the system in the garage. What you need to complete this set-up: gas solenoid valves- the valves that I used had siezed. Duda Diesel sells valves on ebay; a stainless steel model for $36 or brass for $24. You will eventually need 2 new electrodes; as two of the three have cracked porcelain insulators that will eventually give way. These are available for about $20-25. One additional note about the DSIs; these are 120VAC models; so they run on household current without the need for transformers or rectifiers. They have 120VAC valve control too; so it can power 120VAC valves. Relays, SSRs, transformers, etc. DSIs are used in modern furnaces and gas stove tops. They are a replacement for standing pilot
