Weston Electric Photronic Exposure Meter. On the front bottom"Model 850" and a serial number. Also F:Stops. Time, Light, Emuslion, Speed. On the back"Weston Elec. Inst. Corp. Newark N.J. U.S.A. The silver finger knob on top moves the time/Light dial. With original leather case made for wearing on a belt. I think the body is made of bakelite. I have no idea what this does but I'm sure someone does. Meter measures 2 3/4" by 2 1/8" by 1 1/8" and weighs approximately 7 oz.

Circa 1920s or 30s Weston AC Volt meter. Range is up to 750 volts. The case measures 8' wide. 9' tall. There is no leather handle. Funky Old Vintage Weston Electric Ammeter -- Industrial/SteamPunk Item
Funky old Ammeter made by Weston Electric Company of Newark. New Jersey. Patent dates run from 1888 to 1896. The glass over the meter scale is broken, but can probably be replaced, since it's flat glass. The round beveled glass over the pivot is intact, but looks dirty on the inside. I didn't want to try taking it apart myself to clean it or replace the glass, but I'm sure that it can be done. Very cool old piece. See photos.

Weston D.C. Voltmeter Model 45 I have here a Vintage Weston D.C. Voltmeter Model 45. This is untested and comes just as you see it. This unit was certified on March 18. 1955 and was signed by the certifier. The volt ranges are as follows: Volt Range- 3/ Resistance Ohms@ 25 degrees C- 3.000. Volt Range- 30/ Resistance Ohms@ 25 degrees C- 30.000. Volt Range- 300/ Resistance Ohms@ 25 degrees C- 300.000. Each one shows that in 1955 it was compensated accordingly. Serial number is 63744. I would rate it's overall condition to that of being used with its age showing. The handle is made of leather. The dark area's on the lid that folds down is where the plastic got damage. The paperwork under it is in good condition with an area near the upper left corner and lower right corner that has a dark spot it. It has not interfered with the writing ... moreon it. I am very happy to be listing a beautiful pair of Vintage WESTON MODEL 862 N4. A) scale VU METERS in excellent working and cosmetic condition. The meters are illuminated by two 6 volt lamps. I believe the case is made of Black Bakelite, one of the first plastics made from synthetic components. Dimensions: 4” tall x 4¼” wide x 1” deep. Rear of panel is 3” diameter and 1¼ deep. These are the large VU meters that gave that iconic look to all the classic Vintage Tube Audio Equipment of yesterdays gone by. VU Meters no. 3. 5(862-N4 197024) the only cosmetic blemish is a slight"black tape residue" across the top of the cases. Which blends in with the case and is hardly noticable. It is responding to being covered or lit up. But seems very"dull" Using a flashlight causes it to jump to the max setting of 50, but regular room lighting with fluorescent lights registers as"inadequate for critical seeing" despite being easy to read in. Weston Electrical Electric Volt meter Model 45 vintage antique Pat Nov. 8 1888
Here is a real old vintage meter. It was made by Weston Electric in Newark NJ. USA. The pat. date is Nov.8 1888. For as old as it is it is in fairly good shape. I don't know if you would call the face brass or not. It is a heavy metal like brass but has more of a chrome color to it with may be a little brass in it.One of the little rubber feet is missing for when you set it up the one way. This would make a good display piece.It is not very often you find them as old as this.The meter goes to 140 volt. It can read positive or negative. I put 14 volts to it and the needle did move. The I reversed the polarity and the needle moved the other way. I believe it is in working order.I think the case is oak. it all most looks like Tiger Oak. Feel free to email questions or comments.
