Fishermen were having some trouble with screw eyes pulling out, so Creek Chub experimented with various types of reinforced hook hardware. Reference books refer to the side screw rig as"prototype or experimental" This is the earlier, slender, 5" No. 3400 Snook Pikie body with Pikie Scale paint, GE, 3T and double line ties. The two belly hooks have external screws on the sides of the lure that support the hooks(one screw on each side) The belly trebles actually turn 360 degrees. The tail treble is mounted with a double wire ... moreloop. The paint on this lure has some crazing and patina, and one very small chip near the base of the lip on the left side. It is otherwise in VG condition. The lip is stamped with CCBC info, but the back is not. The eyes, hardware and hooks are all VG. With the line tie located under the mouth and flap rig hardware. The body is made of wood with their blue gill paint pattern. The paint on the left side of the lure has a tackle box rub in the center, and there is some paint peeled on the belly weight. The right side of the lure and the hardware is in VG condition.
