2 Scepter Fuel Cans ( MFC ) with RED STRAPS for Gasoline Gas
THIS IS A PICTURE I USE OVER AND OVER. SO YOU WONT GET THESE EXACT CANS, BUT YOU PROBABLY WONT BE ABLE TO TELL THE DIFFERENCE. I have 2(THIS AUCTION IS FOR TWO) used Scepter Brand Military grade fuel cans. Honestly. These look beat up, but will hold fuel and do their job just as good as the brand new, nice, pretty ones. These cans come WITH the red straps shown in the picture. The cans do not have cracks or holes, and the flanges are free from any major cracks or issues. In other words, the cans will be functionally sound for holding fuel. Its tough to find intact flanges anymore, and harder still to find the straps. THESE ARE SURPLUS CANS. So I do not know what was in them before I got them. All you have to do is pour a little gasoline in them, shake them up, and then pour out the gasoline, and they will be good as new on the inside. It ... morewill NOT hurt your engine to use a can that had previously been used for diesel, etc. Also, I have these sitting in a big pile, so I just grab however many I need, throw them into a box, and ship them. They will be dirty, dusty, etc. I do NOT wash them, shine them, polish them, etc. What I am getting at, is these are surplus, you will have to wash them off when you get them, and rinse out the inside with a little fuel to be safe. But they WILL be ready to do the job. If you DO have any problems with the cans(find a pinhole in the can, or something I overlooked) just contact me about it and I will fix it. No problem at all. Used condition have been filled many times with JP8 and Diesel Fuel. I have Filled and Drained to check for leaks, minor scuffing as noted in pictures. They have been filled and drained so they will have the slight smell of kerosene(JP8) and/or Diesel Fuel, this will not interfere with you using them for gasoline, diesel, kerosene, or any other fuel you need to use them for. As you can see buy the pictures this on has its own personalized paint job. Kind of reminds me of the old M*A*S*H series on television. VINTAGE PREBAN SCEPTER 5 GALLON VENTED PLASTIC GAS FUEL JERRY CAN WITH SEAL DISC
What a terrific gas can! It has a self venting nozzle spout. And is in really terrific condition. It's been all cleaned inside and out and is ready to be put to service. This is a can you will be proud to own. Has the double handle for easy control, and even has the seal disc to seal the nozzle when transporting fuel. The seal disc for this can doubles as a cap for the nozzle. It fits a little loose in that position. But it fits as designed. The seal disc is used as shown in photo three for transporting from the gas station. Then it stows at the end of the nozzle to aid in reducing evaporation. Scepter Fuel Gas Diesel Jerry Can Canister Jug With Spout
Scepter gas can in mint condition. Comes with a new high flow spout. Keep in mind that this canisters are pretty much useless with out the spout. Here is little bit more about the spouts I make. Pour spout for Scepter fuel canisters. Original Scepter gas spout is very slow and over priced. This Big Ben will empty 5 gallon fuel can in about 55 seconds. The nozzle tip diameter is 0.8" which will work with any gas and diesel fuel tanks. The whole assembly is about 14" long. The nozzle end has a threaded locking cap which will not leak. This is a best available set up. This unit screws in to female inner threads of the fuel can and bottoms out into the shoulder to eliminate any possible leaks. No tools needed but I would strongly recommend in the beginning to carefully screw the unit into the canister making sure it's square to ... moreavoid cross threading several times to break it in. You may need to use a strap wrench if it's too tight for your hand. KEEP IN MIND THAT CHEAPER AFTERMARKET SPOUTS FOR SCEPTER FUEL CANS WILL NOT WORK WITH UNLEADED GAS FUEL TANKS. THIS ONE WILL.
