Primitive screw point drill auger bit. Likely used to drill peg holes for barn construction. This is not a reproduction. Would be used to drill a hole about 1-1/4in. diameter. Overall length 24 in. from tip to end of flutes 12 in. Weighs almost 2 lbs. for shipping. Back end is squared off for insertion and holding in the brace. Natural patina with protective rust coating. Would clean up nicely with WD40 for display. Also have a smaller diameter bit listed separately. Great piece for the collector of vintage woodworking tools or on display in your workshop.
