The largest near the 50 degrees C entigrade area. T here are also some small rust s pots on the top and bottom edges. The thermometer glass is not broken or cracked in any way and keeps accurate temperature. The thermometer measures 26" high by 7" wide. According to other posts for this thermometer on eBay. The glass tube is not filled with mercury. A n alcohol based liquid is used instead- I don't know if that is true or not but it does keep accurate temperature. For your bidding I have a Gulf Gasoline lighted Swihart wall clock. Measuring 15” in diameter the clock face is new and in mint condition. The clock isn’t stamped with a build. But it is likely from the 1960’s. In preparing the clock for sale all wire connections were tightened, the clock motor was lubricated and tested for both accuracy and quietness, and a detail cleansing was performed. While going thru my pre-sale checklist the only item requiring attention was replacing the clock hands, additional I decided to convert the lighting from a florescent bulb to incandescent bulbs. Overall this clock is in excellent condition as it runs well, is clean, lights up, is quiet and keeps accurate time as expected. Prior to shipping I will test the motor for accuracy and quietness again and communicate to you the results and actions taken. Rare Vintage Dualite Gruen Watch Advertising Clock Sign Bulova Pam Gas Oil Soda
For your consideration is this vintage lighted advertising clock. This clock is an advertisement for Gruen Watches. It was manufactured by Dualite and is quite a heavy duty clock circa 1930's-1940's. This clock reads"GRUEN Watch Time" in what appears to be a the image of a Gruen watch face. The image does exhibit a few areas of fading but overall it is quite vivid. The clear lens is glass and is in great condition. The ring is constructed of metal and is also in great condition with minor scratches. It works great and appears to keep time although I only let it run for about an hour. The cord looks great with 2 areas being taped and there appears to be no issue with the integrity of the cord. It measures approximately 16" x 16" and sticks approximately 3 1/2" off the wall. This clock features 2 light sockets ... moreand it had 2 of the old small low wattage light bulbs in it when I purchased it however. They were burnt out. I used one larger watt bulb for the photos however the clock will arrive without any bulbs and will need new bulbs. This is a very rare Dualite model and a very hard to come by timepiece. Overall looks to be in pretty decent shape. Has 2 small dents on the top. The end of the spout is dented/crooked alittle. It has no cracks or holes. Has a wooden handle. Spout with cap and center cap. Caps screw on and off easily. It has a nice antique design around it and on top. Has some paint worn/chipped off in places.
