Nice Original ESSEX Hit Miss Gas Oil Field Engine Oiler Steam Magneto NICE!
This is an exceptionally nice original Essex 1 pint lubricator or oiler for a hit and miss gas engine. It is in excellent original condition with no cracks. Breaks, or repairs of any kind except that is is missing one wooden knob which would be fun to make or would likely be available at your local toy or hobby store. It stands about 11 inches tall overall. It has 1/2 inch pipe threads on it which are in great shape. There is hardly any wear anywhere on it and it will clean up very nicely. It has some very nice original patina and I would leave it as is but you can do whatever you'd like. It does have some minor staining or discoloration but this would be real easy to remedy. It has the original check ball and vent tube in it which means it was made to oil the cylinder of a gas engine. These original oilers are getting pretty tough to ... morefind in the wild or even at swap meets and usually they are all beat up or incomplete. This one just needs a little cleaning and a glass tube and it will be ready to go to work on an engine. It would also look great sitting in your brass lineup! The pictures tell the story. This is a rare Esso Cap/ Hat from the off shore Balder oil field west of west of Haugesund. Norway. The Balder Test noted on the hat was a 5 month extended well production test that produced 800,000 gallons of crude using Golar Nor's production ship, Petrojarl 1. My apologies for the flash issues, the hat is very black, not at all faded. The first picture is indicative of the color. The hat is in excellent condition. Oil field worker hard hat helmet protective headgear
This is a hard hat/helmet. It appears to be made for oil field workers. All of the stickers on it appear to have something to work with working in oil and various oil companies. This item was found in storage. And thus none of the stickers are more current than 2008. This helmet is very dirty and I'll do my best to clean it as best I can for the winning bidder. It feels like it is made out of a carbon fiber like material. There is some kind of part on the forehead(right side of picture#2) that can be turned, but doesn't seem to do anything. The Nanuq Oil Pool is a satellite to the Alpine Oil Field. This pool was discovered by the Nanuk No. 2 exploratory well, which encountered about 65 vertical feet of oil-bearing sandstone, siltstone and shale. This is a big and commanding painting and quite beautiful. This depicts 5 Canadian Geese in a snowing corn field in the middle of winter during a snow shower with an old worn out barn in the background. We do not know if there is an official title but for now it's title is. Geese in a Snowy Corn Field" The condition is pristine, with no damage or repairs. No dings, nicks, scratches, no moisture issues and the colors are not faded by sunlight. The board is nice and flat. This has been well taken care of all its life. The exposed image is about 28.5' x 18.5' This has a cloth mat border which is 1' wide. The wooden frame is 3' wide and has silver ... moregold and brown tones see below. The frame adds 8" Making this 36.5' x 26.5' x 1.5' deep. The frame is in excellent condition but not as mint as the painting. I will have it touched up professionally, before shipping.
