No 1 to Sept. 1. 1919 It shows the expenses and bank information for an amount of $5.046.98. The extract of letter from Field Superintendent is as follows: Since August 19 th we have had employed on the Burkburnett-Mann Oil Company’s well Mr. Abel. Who is known throughout Illinois, Kansas and Oklahoma as an experienced driller and fisherman. The well continues to cave and he has so far been unable to clean out to the bottom of the tools that he might take hold of them and get them out. If this can be done I think the well will make from 15 to 20 barrels a day. For sale is a Ridgid 12-R Pipe Threader with 6 dies in used condition. The dies that are included are 1/2" 3/4" 1" 1 1/4" 1 1/2" and 2" The 1" die has 4 or 5 broken teeth which you will see pictured in the last few pictures. The rest of the dies appear to have light use and are still in good condition with no broken teeth. The handle is the longer style and may have a slight bend or it might come like that, I am unsure. You will see the standard wear for a used threader including, paint loss, scratches, and grime but overall this is a nice set, other than the 1" die having some broken teeth. This brochure is a single piece printed on slick glossy paper that folds out to about 15” x 17” with photos of the oilfield and a couple gushing derricks and a large map showing the company’s leases in the Pioneer Oil Field in Eastland County, Texas not far from the historic Ranger and Desdemona and Breckenridge Oilfields. This brochure mentions the company’s Kersh lease“is on a direct northeast line from the famous 18.000-barrel Eakin well. Expert oil men declare our lease should produce wells of equal strength if not greater than ... morethe Eakin” Bold claims are made about the fortunes to made by the lucky few who are wise enough to buy the company’s stock. In 1885 a post office was granted with Bill Smith as postmaster. In May 1922, near the end of the Eastland County oil boom, the Bryson wells near Pioneer reached a daily production of 7,200 barrels. Later, the Eakin No. 4 surpassed all the other wells in the county by producing 20,000 barrels a day. With the high-gravity crude oil bringing $2.88 a barrel, Pioneer wells grossed over $1 million a year for two consecutive years. The population increased from around thirty to perhaps 5,000.
