Before the universal acceptance of engine oil sold in cans or bottles. Oil was sold in gas stations by drawing it out of a bulk container or tank into a dispenser. The swing spout dispenser listed here was probably the most popular of the dispenser containers. The swing spout sealed the container until the spout was rotated down. The oil could then flow down through the spout. This dispenser is the popular one quart unit. In general most cars would only be a quart low when the oil was checked- all stations offered a free oil check so that they could add to their sales. 1 cent Luron Soap Dispenser in working condition. 12" x 15.5" metal advertising attached to the rear. The dispenser is 12" high and the base is 7" x 7" and the top of the machine is 5.5" x 5.5" It appears to be in original condition with wear and scuffs but overall pretty good. The sign has some chips and some rust is coming through. I have one key and it fits the top to refill the soap. It also fits the bottom lock to get out the money out but I can't get it to turn(possibly old soap) It has the old pink soap in it but I will take it out for shipping.
