First off. Despite the minor wear& discoloration seen on the face of a couple of the older ones. These locks are ALL in really good shape! The One Ilco Rim cylinder doesn't have the gear sticking out the back of it like the other. But the lock's still in good/working shape and that's cheap to replace if you want. Other than that. The rest of them are ALL there(complete) The 2 Schlage mirtise cylinders in the upper right are practically new. And have brand new keys(2 each) with them that are all the same(both are keyed at default) The cylinders in all 6 of them are all still in really nice shape. I do not know how long they were used or why they were replaced. I applied power to both of them. One you could hear the relay or solenoid click. Schlage K series Mortise locks discontinued vintage 1980's hardware
I have 1 Schlage K Series mortise lock body for sale. It is a K6453 LHR with a 613 faceplate. It is a used lock from a building that was scheduled to be demolished in the Silicon Valley in California. What does this mean in English? K= the Series of lock. Schlage bought the General Lock Company from Michigan as they did not have a mortise lock in their line up and called them the K Series. 6453= That the lock has a latch& a deadbolt. The lock can be left in the unlocked position by retracting the latch and rocking the silver rocker button on the edge of the lock. If the deadbolt is extended it is automatically retracted by pushing the inside lever down. The out side lever is free floating when locked. 613= is the finish(color) of the plate on the edge of the lock. It is a dark brown finish. LHR= is the"hand" of the lock. This ... morelock is configured for a door with exposed hinges on the left and the door pulls to you. This is VERY critical issue with this series of locks. If you have a door that swings differently you need to contact me! This is the lock body and faceplate ONLY. If you need trim. Cylinders or other parts ask me and I will see if I have them.
