A whole was made in the front by a acetylene torch so a light could be put in while the two holes in the back where made in order to pick the lock. This safe has been used for 40 years and has been inside the house. We DO have the combination along with keys for the inside compartments. As far as we know. the drawers are original. For sale I have a nice Mosler commercial safe. It is very large and roomy inside measuring about 38 1/2 x 38 1/2 x 33 1/2 inches. Inside it contains locking drawers but you could remove them if you needed the extra space. I do have the combination and the keys to the drawers. It is a very heavy duty and high quality safe. Of course it is too big and bulky to ship anywhere so it is being offered for local pickup only. It will be an easy pickup from my garage. Pinky's will tow it anywhere in the city limits for $50 but you will need a pallet jack or forklift to get it unloaded. Large Vintage Antique Remington Rand 4 Hour Fire Safe Retracting Double Doors
Hi. Very vintage,large 4 hour fire safe by Remington Rand. Yes I have the combination and the locks work great. Pic 2 is the top front and is the basic nametag. Locks are made by Yale, all brass. Pics 5 and 7 show the access plates, I don't think they have ever been opened. Pic 4 shows the 4 hour rating with model and serial numbers. I can't find a year of manufacture though. Pic 6 shows the left door and panel. The small latch holds the panel shut. When you push this down, while the door is open, it swings the entire door out on the panel, as in pic 7, and then can be rolled into the side compartment and out of the way. Both doors do this. They have rollers to move and rest on. Takes the weight off the hinges and gets the doors out of the way so you can work. This is pic 8. In pic 9 it shows the bottom hinge on the right door needs ... moreto be welded. It still works great, but this should be done. Someone tried brazing it, created the rust spot on the outside, and it didn't take. I've had this for 19 years and have never had a problem using it in this condition. Pic 10 shows the three antique file drawers that all work and have no dings, dents or twists. The entire unit is removable as well. The two shelves are very adjustable in no more than an inch increments. Adjustable from the bottom to the top. They slide into grooves. Caster style wheels! Pic 11. All four wheels rotate a full 360 degrees so you can push this in any direction. Pic 12 is closed. Weight is a guess around a ton. Outside measurements are 62 1/2 inches long, 47 1/2 high and 32 1/2 deep. The interior measurements are 36 inches wide, 31 1/2 high and 19 1/2 deep. Length is so the doors can slide into the sides. Diebold Vault Door From National Bank-Professionally Removed and Repackaged This door is in excellent condition and is in complete working order. The door was in daily operation at the bank until December of 2012. All of the exposed metal on the door is brushed stainless steel with no signs of rust or deterioration. The door locking mechanism consists of a Diebold three-keyed timer mounted to the inside of the door that may be custom set by the owner. On the outside there are two Diebold individual combination locks. The door. When pushed closed, is locked by a single large lever. Then the lever resembling a wheel is set into place, which locks the door into a snug fit within the doorframe. As seen from the pictures the door is strikingly bold with all the exposed mechanisms are convincingly secure. The door itself weighs approximately 5.000 ... morepounds and is about the size of standard 3’ wide 6’8” high single man door. When the door is opened the walk through frame is 32” wide at its narrowest point. The door, which hinges on dual roller bearing hinges, has a very massive feel although it is designed to open and close easily by a single person. How The Door Arrives To You: The door was professionally removed and crated in a manner that would allow any medium skilled contractor to install the door. The components shipped to you are shipped in 3 individual fully enclosed crates. The largest of the crates is 4’ wide x 8’ long x approximately 30” high. The largest crate contains the doorframe and the components necessary to install the doorframe. The doorframe crate and its components weigh approximately 2.700 pounds. This is a Mosler filing cabinet safe. It was used by the Fed Gov't in D.C. and sold at auction. Model# SF-C5. It has five drawers that are for legal size documents. The drawers are 16" wide, 10" high and 24" deep. The cabinet is 5 feet high, 20" wide and 28" deep. IT WEIGHS 600 POUNDS. No kidding, there's a plate on the base saying so. It has a 3 digit combination, which I do have and will give to the buyer. It can be opened and closed without locking by using the latch and not spinning the dial. Close the doors, turn the latch, turn the dial and it's locked. It's cream color and there are some scratches on it from being moved and some sticker residue from old stickers it had which said"Not for Classified Documents" I bought this to store docs.
