This was originally made to move a very large satellite dish. It's rated to push or pull 1/2 a ton with steel plate for mounting. I have used it as an electric steering box for a radio controlled lawnmower with a battery and an inverter. It runs on AC 110v. Really easy to hook up. There's a common wire that would go to one leg of the 110v. Then you hook one of two other wires up to make it push or pull. It has a relay and some switches inside but I have only used it as described above so I don't really know what the switches are for. I think they are a safety so it will only extend or pull so far. One end of the steel rod has a bolt hole so you cab thread in an eye hook or bolt. The long steel part is just over 3ft long. It has MASSIVE POWER and built very tough. Includes Anorad lzm-050-600 track and matching lz-050-240 forcer with hall sensor. Force is 48lb continuous. 248lb peak. Encoder is an RLS LM10 1 micron magnetic scale encoder with digital quadrature outputs. Drive is a Teknic SST-3100UCX which accepts step and direction inputs. I built this assembly to test a batch of Anorad motors and forcers.
