Five of the glass vials are Sealed/Unopened. Reading Alvin 5018(2H, 2H, 2H, 3H, and 6H) One glass vial is opened and has no label, the leads inside read Alvin 5024 Chromo. The box on back reads Made in Germany. The inside box lid has pencil writing, reading 10 cents each. With that being said, and these being in Glass Vials with Cork Tops, these appear to be very old. Up for auction is this exquisite full figural glass swan flower frog vase being offered"as is as found" two of the feathers shaped like leaves are broken and 5 of the 7 glass vials have been replaced. Still a rare and wonderful piece that displays beautifully. This is an older piece and as such the glass shows some of the characteristics of old glass- air bubbles and particles within the glass. The body of the swan is free of any chips. Cracks and dings, feels smooth all around. The wings are made up of 6 glass pieces shaped like leaves, as mentioned 2 are broken(on the same side) on these two the tips are missing. The center is made up of 7 coiled glass pieces that the vials sit in. The original vials had a ruffled edge, 2 are original and 5 were replaced. VINTAGE JEWELERS WATCH JEWELS IN GLASS VIALS IN FITTED BOX
Wonderful old wooden box fitted to hold tiny glass vials with corks. Which hold tiny red jewels used in watch movements. Each corked top is numbered. Box is numbered showing"diameters by 1/100th Millimeters. Original paper label inside lid of box explains boxes contents. One metal hinge locks box cover to bottom. Box measures approximately 9 3/4" x 13 1/2" Glass vials measure approximately 1" long without cork. There are 85 glass vials. Some vials are empty and some vials have multiple jewels inside. This box of watch jewels is so interesting and looks to be quite old.
