19th Century European GRAND TOUR Brass Glass THERMOMETER Obelisk WORKS NR
Offered is a Victorian'Grand Tour' Brass Obelisk Thermometer in working condition- dating(I believe) from the latter half of the 19th Century.perhaps earlier. Set upon three feet that are adorned with figural birds and a Crowned Monarch. Standing 10 inches tall and spanning 4 1/2 inches between each of the 3 legs- condition is excellent with darkened brass patina. The thermometer is in good working order(accurate and without damage. The scale on the left graduates from-10 to 100 degrees Fahrenheit.the scale to the right of the thermometer designates"Blood Heat" as the highest temperature(about 98 degrees) Sum Heat" is next followed by"Tempe Rate" and"Freezing" I was unable to identify the marks below. It's in very nice condition and has an aluminum pocket carrying case. The thermometer is 5.75" long and a thicker diameter than a standard oral thermometer. I purchased this at an estate auction and am uncertain of its age but believe it to be several years old. Please note that my shipping time is up to 5 business days as I have multiple jobs and can only ship one day a week. If you happen to purchase after I return from the post office on shipping day it will be a full week wait until I am able to ship again. It is missing a tiny acorn cap nut that screws on the front of the bottom fastener that holds the tube in place as circled in one of the pics. The tube is in NO WAY loose or becoming loose. You may be able to find a tiny nut to screw on if wanted. 7 3/4" by 1 7/8" Arms swivel to accommodate various mounting positions. Perfect for your garden, bungalow or cottage! VINTAGE EX LAX THERMOMETER WORKS from old SIGN GLASS FRONT
This is a nice. Old, EX LAX advertising FAHRENHEIT thermometer in working condition. I was told that it was from a larger advertising sign and was" threaded" onto the sign. The pictures show this edge. It is round, 4 1/2" in diameter, I believe chrome edge around the glass center. It has definitely been used, some soiling and tiny spots on the ex lax paper inside the glass front, consistent with age. The edge, just under the chrome edge, has approximately a 2" area that is bent down, as shown in pictures 4& 5. I think that this could be bent back in place easily. Other than just soiling from age, I believe that it is very usable. It is very neat as is on a shelf, or if you have the sign that it goes with, a great find.

Vintage original 1957 Sunbeam Bread Pam Thermometer. I picked it up from an estate and it was hanging inside a garage. I left it outside for a couple of hours when I got it home. When I checked the temperature it was 1 degree from what the weather channel had our city temperature listed at. There is a spot that looks foggy the size of a quarter around the-20 and-30 mark that should show up in the pictures. Other than that this item looks really good. Size is 12" in diameter.
