Rolling clasp works as it should and is secure. No loose parts. Very nice vintage condition. Thermometer measures 1 1/2" long and 7/16 wide without the bow/pin. Nice clean& big. This lovely JOHN DEERE Thermometer measures a large 15" in diameter& is sensitive& accurate- with vivid colors being sold AS IS only because the needle that tells the temperature has come undone. But is intact inside the glass. Glass just needs to be removed to fix it or to add a new needle. There is a tiny amount of debris also inside the glass, presumably from where the needle came apart& a little patina from careful storage- that's it- see pictured for details- they show the thermometer you'll get. It has a glass face and measures 12 inches in diameter. It reads” TAKE HIRES ROOT BEER. It looks like an older one and is in good shape. It is marked number 4156 on the bottom edge and Hires is a registered trade mark. Evanston Illinois. Made in the USA on the top edge. It is about an inch and a half thick and has 3 tabs for mounting. It shows its age and has some surface corrosion on the metal parts. It does work, the 30 degree temperature you see in the pictures is accurate. I live in Northern Michigan and that was the temperature in my unheated garage when I shot the pictures. This is one the serious Hires collector won’t want to pass up. PayPal preferred. About 3" tall Vintage glass floss holder, metal cap has cross and spot where floss comes out and is ribbed glass; in same picture is what I believe is 1 very small glass dappen dish( at first I thought it was a top) White milk glass jar Kerr undercut wax. Full of wax and looks like dental instrument was dipped into it several times. A glass mixing pad with 3 round slots for material and a long slot for brush. The side bottom has a small area of 1/2" where a piece has chipped out but is smooth. Glass mixing pad with thermometer in it also has area on side where piece is chipped out. About 2" tall each 2 antique vintage medical medicine or dental glass bottles with tops or stoppers and each with string and one has original paper in it; I think they are unused because the string keep ... morethe tops from getting lost and the paper is like a cushion for shipping. 2 glass dappen dishes approx 2x2" 5" tall vintage glass syringe or dispenser of some type. UP FOR CONSIDERATION IS THIS EARLY ART DECO STYLE GLASS FRONT THEMOMETER CIRCA 1920'S-1930'S. It measures 37 1/2" tall by 12" wide by 1 1/4" deep. It has a metal frame. Glass front, and wood back. The thermometer is working. It is advertising STAR SERVICE SHOP which does Dry Cleaning, Pressing, and Shoe Rebuilding. There are a couple of tears in the brown paper by Cleaners and Shoebuilders. The wording looks to be hand painted on brown paper which could be changed to advertise any type of service. I believe the frame comes apart as it has 6 screws to remove the front from the back. The thermometer is in near mint condition, which can be seen in the photos, but please view each picture and make your own assessment. Front is glass and back is all metal. This thermometer is not one that comes up for sale often, it is guaranteed all original. It hangs in the diamond position, each side measures a tad over 12" but point to point it is 17" in length& height. As with all my items.
