Listed for sale is a Manning Bowman electric liquor distiller. Serial 5-33. The item appears to be Chrome plated and shows signs of deterioration to the surface. There are no visible dents to the metal surface underneath, so chrome re-plating should be fairly simple. There is a glass container with 2 heating rods inside the chrome shell.The plastic lid is cracked(see photo) but not visible when the chrome top is in place. Included is a beautiful Art Deco bottle. It has a small hairline crack on the base(see photo) Based on the longevity of the company(sold 1941 To McGraw Electric) the Art Deco Period(1925-1940's) and electrical cord information(Can. This is a used Stainless Steel water Distiller. Comes only with what is shown in the pictures. We don't have a booklet for it but it can be found online. It is a Living Water System by John Ellis. I plugged unit in and the distiller began to heat up. I unplugged it after 30 seconds. I do not know if this is a working unit as I cannot test it because of the missing parts. I phoned the johnellis webpage at 845-754-8696 and was told that a transformer is $125.00, an air cooler(lid with fan inside) is $95.00 and an ozone quartz bulb is $80.00. There may be additional parts required to get this running, but I do not know what they are. I did some superficial research on this machine and I think that those 3 items are the main items missing. The glass in the item is in good condition with no cracks or chips. All connections are in good condition with no dents or cracks. The unit does seem to be missing some parts on the front of the cabinet where the open holes are. The cables are in good condition with no cuts or frayed areas.
