This Centrifuge has been used this once. And I'm selling it because it isn't fast enough for my purposes. It may need some occasional oiling. Just remove the bottom cover and apply some oil to the ball bearing. I will include 4 brand new 10ml glass centrifuge tubes with screw covers. This machine is equipped with a clamp for mounting to a table. It features a painted metal body and metal head. The crank is made of a high impact hard plastic. The handle of the centrifuge can be removed. And should be removed after the task is completed, so that nobody gets hit by the handle while it is either stationary or in motion. It comes complete with 4 each aluminum shields. It will hold centrifuge tubes up to 15ml in capacity. It is easily disassembled for storage in specially designed foam box. Possible uses for this are quick separation of ... moreblood. Urine, foods, oils and plant extracts. This would not be suitable for separating cell organelles or cell components such as DNA. We find this a very economical way for fast separation of plant tissue from extracted oils prior to distillation of essential oils. Blood samples require an anticoagulant prior to centrifugation.

As you can see from the pics, they all have varying degrees of cosmetic wear such as scuffs, scratches, residual marking tape adhesive, and rust spots. They have all been tested appear to be fully functional so unless you're entering them into a beauty contest the cosmetics shouldn't matter too much. You can refer to the pictures as I describe the differences: Unit#1: This is the one with the black base and is featured in the first 3 pictures. Overall it is the nicest cosmetically. It has a working locking mechanism for the lid. I noted that the speed adjustment dial is a little loose. But does adjust to all speed settings without any ... moreproblems. Unit#2: This is the one with the tan speed adjustment knob and a serial number beginning in 428. I would say this one is slightly rougher cosmetically than#1 and also has a working locking mechanism for the lid. I noted that this one was a little noisier than the other two while running. Unit#3: This one is featured in the last 3 pics and is identified by the serial number AB0643. As you can see from the pics. This one is in the roughest shape cosmetically, but it runs smoothly. This one did not come outfitted with a locking mechanism for the lid. You're buying a used Beckman VTI 80 centrifuge rotor Class H. Made in USA, serial#951 in perfect working condition. Age is unknown but there is no trace of any defect. It has been used a few times and the speed disc is new. It also comes with a pair of tube caps and a pair of cap nuts. Including the proper hex socket to tighten them. These caps/nuts are very expensive on their own since they have to be the exact same weight for perfect balance. I also add a box of Optiseal tubes and plugs Catalog#362185(13 x 48 mm, 4.9 ml) only 4 tubes have been used, so there are 52 left.
