The name on this wedge socket comes from a famous early american immigrant engineer who was famous for building bridges and producing bridge building wire ropes and related products. John A Roebling engineered and over saw the building and construction of the Brooklyn Bridge. An unfortunate accident occurred during that project in which his foot was hurt and he later died from tetanus. His legacy continued on as his sons continued his manufacturing business. Here are 8 more vintage 18" pieces of old Barbed Wire that I recently purchased from an estate. They are numbered. But I don't have a book to tell me the brands that the numbers represent. Starting from the bottom going up here are the markings a best I can read them. 109, 411, 306, 156, 291, I cannot read the one with the flat strap wrapped in wire, 666, 394? I am not sure about this last one's number. The last 2 look very similiar, but I believe I can see a slight difference. They both look to have a square main wire.
