Both snugly fit in the original brown leather sheath. The Kabar STAINLESS markings were used for a short period from 1951 to 1960. According to the Goin's Encyclopedia of Cutlery Markings. The knife is unused; stainless steel blade and a spike have not been re-sharpened; the tips are intact. The ricasso is stamped Kabar STAINLESS 1375 on one side; Merlin spike is stamped JAPAN. The over all foot print is about three feet high and six feet wide in the first picture. The large double tree is all hand forged steel and an extremely hard wood. We bought this in Vermont many years ago. The red single is forged steel and weathered hard wood and comes from my wife's family farm here in Kenyon, RI. And the black one is cast iron and steel most likely made around 1880-1900. It was purchased from a farm just a mile or two down the road. It's the newest of the trio but antique just the same.
