Back in the 1800's every sailing ship had sails and rope lines(rigging) Often the rope knots would tighten up so tight that they required hard work to loosen them up. A marlin spike was used to peel them apart. Also, pounding on the knot in one direction and then another would help loosen it. To pound on the knot they used a rigging billy. This club is 18" long and almost 7" around at the fat end(2" in diameter) Often the rigging club was used in hand-to-hand combat. OLD & VTG NEAR MINT KABAR STAINLESS 1375 RIGGING YACHT ROPE KNIFE SET W/ SPIKE
Here is a Kabar 1375 rigging yacht rope knife set. The knife is in mint condition. It has never been sharpened. And has very light scratches on the blade. It is 7 15/16" long overall, with a 4 1/16" by 1 3/16" wide blade. The wood handles are in excellent unused shape. The blade is stamped Kabar STAINLESS 1375. The spike is 5 3/8" long by 3/8" diameter, with an approximate 3/4" outside diameter eye, and a 7/16" inside diameter eye hole. The sheath has scuffs and scratches, as the pictures show, and is the only reason I listed this set as near mint. Hello. Up for sale one of my own Locomoto racing airboats, almost ready to float. Hull is made of fiberglass just like the real ones and inside deck is gel coated and webbed just like the real ones. Hull measeures 23"x 12" total length with rudders and grass rake are 32" and 15" high. Very well made and handles like a dream. Slides, corners, tracks straight, and is very forgiving design. Uses radio box seal tape to seal up electronics. Motor mount, Rudder linkage is already installed and has mount for standerd size servo. Just add your electronics and run. This hull is used and has scratches and grass stains you can see in pictures. There is no major damage or any problems with this boat. Just a very well made used boat that will clean and polish right back up again. This rare vintage military backpack X frame measures about 18" tall and 15" wide. Has 2 names H. Pfuhl and G. Renner on it and I can find no other markings. Not sure if all the straps and buckles are on it but seems to have most of them in not all. The platform that folds down at bottom is about 15" by 7" and has a small worn spot on one corner. This is a stock item removed from a 1979 Schwinn Collegiate 3 three speed bicycle. This sale is for the shifter and cable and complete rigging hardware. All parts are good for use. Works well. Complete with all original hardware. Cable housing has a kink but it does not interfere with the performance. The cable coating has a few spots exposing the cable. Pulley and clamp are in very good condition. No damage. Shifter body is missing logo plate and has some residue from the two way tape that held it on. Chrome clamps are brilliant and free from rust.
