Holland America Line: A colorful. Twelve-page, fold-out cruise plan dated October 1963 for the MAASDAM and RYNDAM. Besides the great cover graphics. There is a color 4 panel ship portrait, color interior and deck photos, and color-coding of the cabin types. That color-coding helps identify these ships' Achilles' heel, the lack of private bathrooms. Only the handful of First Class staterooms up on Boat Deck and a select group of Main Deck cabins have attached facilities. For everyone else it was a march down the hall. Budget transatlantic travelers might not mind, but this was a killer for cruise business. Not too many years after this plan was printed both ships were sold out of the fleet. Excellent condition.
