Russian Soviet Brown Military GreatCoat Hook and Eye Closure WWII Style Here is a very heavy brown Russian Soviet great coat which I believe to be from the 1950's but I'm not totally positive. It is in very good used condition. It is styled similar to great coats from WWII. It is made from a heavy blanket type wool. It has hook and eye closures. Because of the hook and eye closures. I believe the buttons were added at a later time. The ones on the front are for visual purposes only. There is a kick pleat in the back that also shows buttons. The hem line is even but has an unfinished edge. This coat was made for warmth as it is a heavy one. There are white markings on the outer pocket lining inside the coat, but are very faint and not legible. I am back from a monster shopping trip to the World’s Longest Yard Sale– we shop Ohio every year and then stop at some of my favorite spots in Indiana to buy from. Spent 2 whole days taking photos and still not done– I have a LOT and I’ll be listing for weeks. There’s something for everyone- primitive antiques, ephemera, military, railroad, industrial, farm finds– you name it, I have it and it’s all unique– you’ll want to keep checking, as I will list every day. Enjoy! Here's a very cool old lot of hook and eye closures. They are as found- inside of an old box that reads. Ivory Trouser Buttons. Now, these are either older vintage, if not antique, I just don't know enough about them to tell you for sure- but they are old! I'm showing you two ... moresizes in my hand, but there's only 5 hooks(1/2" wide by 3/4" tall) and 1 eye(9/16" w by 11/16" tall) of the smaller size- those hooks do fit into the larger eyes though, too. The large hooks measure 3/4" wide by 7/8" tall and there's 34 of them. The large eyes measure 7/8" wide by 3/4" tall and there's 32 of them. Also inside the box, I found one old pin back- like the pin back from a tin pin- don't know what it was doing there, but I'm sending it as found- see photo 13. They all appear to be made of either tin or steel, as a magnet sticks to them. I do think the large hooks and eyes had a gold finish on them originally- it's very worn, if so, and they are very dark. The small ones, I think may have been black originally. They are all in excellent condition- some thing tells me that they have been tucked away in the darkness of the box for a long long time, and I'm guessing they are never used. The box measures 4 1/8" by 2 3/4" by 1" tall. It's in shabby condition, but does the job. There's a push in hole at the top right corner, and loooots of wear to the paper board and some soil. What

This auction listing is of two pair of antique earrings. Both are of the Victorian Grand Era. The first is an adorable pair of dangles on a hinged ear wire back. With citrine faceted beads. The second is on a shepherd's hook. Having a flower with leaves of Tiger's Eye or Zebra Agate. This pair is set in sterling silver. Though not marked, I have tested it. And it is silver that pre-dates the Jewelers Liability Act in 1904. In the first pair there is a bit of weakening of the electroplate at it's base when viewed with a loupe.
