Up for sale is a set of NFA safety glasses. They are very unique looking but very comfortable at the same time. They originally had a plastic headband but it was rotten and i replaced it with elastic. It can now accomodate the largest of heads with no trouble. The lenses are very high quality American Optical glass and are one of the finest around. They are replaceable and most welding supplies carry a number of 2" 50mmm) lenses of different shades that can be swapped out for different applications. The glasses have a plastic body with metal lens supports and mesh"windows" on the sides. There is a border of corduroy where they rest on your face and are quite comfortable. The lenses are also original. They are in good condition as far as the construction. There are no cracks or breaks in the lenses. But there are quite a few age related scratches. There is a tiny symbol or manufacturer's mark in a circle on each lenses. The hinges are sound and work well. Both side guards are in one piece. No rips, or breaks. The right side is in perfect form; however the left side has a slight dent in the mesh side guard which I have tried to show in the pictures. The side guards are firmly attached. Here is a pair of American Optical safety goggles. The box is marked Drednaut 50 mm Goggles American Optical Company No. 120. I did not find any markings on the goggles or lenses. These have clear. Glass lenses. The ring on the outside of the lenses can be unscrewed to replace or change the lenses. These have an adjustable nose piece and elastic strap. These are used. They could use a little cleaning. The lenses have some scratches and tiny chips. There is corrosion to the nose piece. The metal piece to adjust the strap, and the metal ends on the strap. There is paint loss and light rust to the metal screens on the sides. There is a thin spot/hole in the strap near the metal piece that adjusts the strap(it can be seen in the picture of metal piece) The box has a lot of wear and staining. This a set of American Optical AOS Z87 Fuel safety glasses that I only wore a few times and are in excellent condition. These glasses come with their original padded hard case to keep them protected when not being worn. They look great with a silver frame. Blue rubberized accents on the ear pieces and nose pads, and blue tinted lenses perfect for outdoors or brightly lit areas. The glasses have never seen any major impacts. There's a slight speck on the left lens tinting that does not affect vision and is barely noticeable and faint enough that I cannot take a picture of it. Otherwise they are in great condition with no visible defects. Approximate dimensions are 5-1/4" from temple to temple on the inside. 4-1/2" long arms, and 1-1/2" tall at the tallest part of the lenses.
