Vintage mid-century metal flat file cabinet 11 drawer Use as tool chest/box?
Vintage metal flat file with 11 drawers. Measures approximately 26"D x 27"W x 40" tall. With 3" tall drawers. This was used as a storage cabinet for auto gaskets and wiring, and was repainted once or twice by the previous owner(who bought it new in about 1961 I believe) It isn't greasy or dirty and has a cool industrial look about it. Drawers slide smoothly and don't jam but occasionally you have to slightly lift up when closing so the drawer face doesn't rub the one below it. Handles are brushed aluminum finish under the paint, and the top right handle is slightly loose. Cabinet weighs about 100-150lbs and one person can move it with a dolly or cart. This is a Super-Nice Metal File or Mail Holder dating from the 1960s or 1970s. It was made by Buddy Products of Chicago Illinois and still has it's original tag on it. Vintage Mid-Century Hamilton-Skotch Industrial Giant Size Porta-File I recently purchased this Vintage Hamilton-Skotch Porta-File at a local Raleigh. NC Estate Tag Sale. I’m not sure of the exact age but my guess is that it would be from sometime around the 1960’s. There is no Bar Code or zip code on the label so that would coincide well with my age estimate. It is in Overall Excellent Original Vintage Condition. Nicer than most and showing only very minimal signs of it use and very minor paint loss. It’s not mint as it has been used and because it’s probably fifty years old or so. It does have a few marks here and there and a little cleaning would do wonders but if you have been waiting for that extremely nice example to come along. Especially in this great green color, than this is the one for you. It measures about 12 ¼” wide by 9” ... moredeep and stands about 10 ¼” high. Vintage Industrial Sears Roebuck Tower Steel Office File Cabinet Mid Century Box
This cool vintage industrial file caddy is called the"Tower" and was made by Sears Roebuck. It has been painted brown and has some various colored paint spatters over that- it appears it was last used in a studio for holding art supplies. The top was built for holding hanging file folders. The lid opens and closes but there is no key- when the lid is closed. It engages a shaft that keeps the drawers from opening. The cabinet measures 33 1/4" tall, 11 1/2" wide, and 15 1/4" long. The upper file area measures 12" L x 10" D x 9 3/8" T and has rails for hanging file folders- there is also some overhead space beneath the lid. There are six drawers below that measure 9" D x 11 1/4" W x 2 1/2" T inside, the bottom drawer is missing its pull. A former owner mounted a board and casters to the ... morebottom of the cabinet so that it can roll- a handy little cabinet for the office, home, or studio. This Mole-Richardson Spot/Flood Can light appears mostly intact. But we do offer it as for parts/not working as do not have an appropriate bulb for testing. The wiring looks to be present, but it is missing a filter holster or barn door hinge on one side. There is a socket inside that looks complete. It does not have a support bracket/ U" hook for the can. The lamp measures 8 1/2" W x 11" L x 11" T. It was rewired at some point to have an inline on/off switch in the cord rather than on the body. Wonderland Relics Description: This is a Mid Century Metal File Cabinet. It is two tone brown and tan. It has a flip top for files and the bottom cubby locks. I have also seen these converted with the door off so you can put a pet bed in the bottom and have your little dog or cat hang out with you in the office. I do have the key for it and it works just fine. It is 18 inches long. 13.5 inches wide, and 25.5 inches tall. The cubby measures about 13 inches wide, 17 inches deep and 11.5 inches tall. It does have some minor scuffs on it but no major rust or damage and nothing paint cannot fix. The handle's gold paint is worn as well. I did not see a brand name on it. I'm guessing it's 40s- 60s because of where I got it and the way it looks, but I really don't know. Measures 53 inches tall by 25 inches deep by 17 inches wide. Each of the 4 drawers are 23 inches deep by 12-1/4 inches wide by 10-3/8 inches tall. I don't see a makers mark anywhere on the cabinet. Please see condition above. For sale is one fantastic 20 drawer set of All-Steel heavy duty industrial steel flat files. Original finish It is made up of four stackable 5-drawer units. Plus a top and base. Nice chrome style handles and label holders. There are a few minor scratches and spots. No rust There is a added( hook on top cover plate. See picture.
