This extraordinary piece comes from the Department of interior. The 72 drawers are fitted with multi-label solid brass hardware. The drawer fronts are solid maple with plastic card holders. The bottom two rows of drawers have canted fronts to make reading the contents easier when using the cabinet. There are some minor blemishes on the left side of the unit and only very minor signs of wear elsewhere which can easily be touched up. Vintage Wood Library Card Filing Box Index Recipe Holder two Drawer Maple?
This is a vintage wood filing cabinet for library cards that can be repurposed for index cards or recipes. My husband thinks the outside is maple and some parts on the inside are oak. We're not completely sure. It is well made. Has dovetails and is heavy. 20lbs. I made no attempts to clean it. I can see that it looks like there is some slight rings on the top, someone may have put a plant on it. Nothing major at all. There is also two small holes on one side near the top. The last flaw to note is the dovetails near the front look like they have split a slight bit. Again, nothing major, but I'd rather note it. The drawers slide in and out smoothly. There is a felt lining on the bottom. I cleaned the outside of it with pledge, but otherwise, did nothing to it. 16" by 14" by 6" I have the shipping set at a 25 pound box ... morevia the slowest, but cheapest method. I just wiped it down with a damp cloth as you can see in pics some of the damp areas.

1 Vintage Industrial Steel Stacking 2 Drawer File Cabinet Index Card/Recipe
You are buying-1-one- 2 drawer cabinets. What I have left is 1 with no logo at all. The other 2 you see in ther pictures are sold and NOT incluided. Repeat-you get the one with no logo at all. Each is 16 1/8" deep-17" deep counting the handle-by 14 7/8" wide by 6 1/4" tall. They are stackable and lock together. There is a clip on the rear that slides one to the other and a drop down tab in the front that keeps them from moving once set. Inside of the drawers are 6 1/4" wide by 2 3/4" tall-4 1/2" of usable height-by 14 1/2" deep to the movable back stop. All have their back stops and some have a grooved track in the bottom to securely lock the back stop in place. The ones without the grooves also lock in place good. Original military green paint has some scratches and you might find some light rust. ... moreThey weigh about 11 lbs each before packing. Drawers all work ok and they are not all dented up. Each one you stack on adds another 6 1/4" of height. You might have to adjust the locking tabs a little with a straight screw driver. They will need cleaned some. Vintage Antique Library Card Catalog File Cabinet 10 Drawers Gaylord Brothers This file is in good used condition with some veneer chips from age. The top is removable for more stacking if needed. The outside is blonde wood probably from the 60's. The inside is plastic. The Gaylord Brothers metal tag has fallen off over time. It measures 33" x 17" x 12" and is very heavy. There are no rods onside. The drawers fit cards 3" x 5" This is a very Rare Size.
