Straight from the 1930's machine age is this Shaw Walker cabinet. Tanker Gr ay metal wit h a brown hard leatherette top. It boast 2 metal sliding doors and 1 shelf inside. Measures 31" L x 17.5" W x 29" H. It has a fabulous i ndustrial pati na with s cratches and dings. Top include d. The top is sturdy and hard and fine to set a lamp on. Ect. The metal corners are c omplete and intact and a n ama zing accent. A wonderf ul piece that doesn't show up often. As is the key, though you can purchase one online for around $20. There is a lot of cosmetic wear and tear, as shown in the photos. T his cabinet is VERY. VERY heavy(approximately 500 hundred pounds) and will need several strong people to move it! We do have 3 other fireproof file cabinets available. One letter-sized and 2 legal-sized. Mid Century Shaw Walker Fireproof File Cabinet
This fantastic original industrial piece is in excellent condition. The paint shows a nice patina from use but there is no exterior or interior damage or dents. This vintage piece shows all of its original labels and tags inside and out for the fireproofing certification and its manufacturer. The fireproof material that lines the inside is excellent with no cracks. The drawers both open. Close and lock smoothly as they should and the original key to the original working lock is included. The drawers have the very desirable thumb latch system famous on Shaw Walkers and it works perfectly. The cabinet sits on its original all steel casters and steel wheels that all roll and move smoothly. There is zero rust through and very little surface rust on the bottom edges. For your consideration is this set of 3 vintage Shaw Walker cabinets. The cabinets retain the original drab green painted finish and original labels. The two matching cabinets measure 18 1/2" wide x 57 1/2" tall x 28" deep. The rarer legal file measures 21 1/2" wide x 52" tall x 28"deep. The cabinets have typical wear and operate smoothly. One of the tall cabinets has a small 1/4" ding in a drawer front and the legal file has stickers. Which should clean off with acetone.I will leave that to the new owner.
