Vintage Remington Rand Kardex Industrial Steampunk File Cabinet Here is something really cool and really heavy. I think these filing system are from the early 20th century? There are 15 drawers in each totaling 30 draws. Which still have the file separators which lay flat. They hold up to about 59 indexes It is in vintage condition with appropriate wear but no signs of abuse. The exterior could use work. Some of the exterior sides are delaminating, it seems that the outer finish is pealing. The draws seem to be solid wood with nice wood grain. The card shown is 5.25 x 8" The card slips into a clear plastic strip on the leading edge. This strip holds the card in place. It stand 22.25" tall. 27" deep and 11.5" I tested them all and all worked fine. My inspection found no broken draws and no sign of repairs. This is a very cool industrial metal file cabinet that's from the early to mid 1900's. It contains 16 drawers that slide out and fold down. Each drawer has 65 individual slots which can protectively store& organize your documents/items. It can organize a minimum of 1040 items. Great for documents. Vintage- from early to mid-1900s! It looks darn good for it's age. But it does show some wear. It contains 10 drawers that slide out and fold down. Each drawer has multiple individual slots which can protectively store& organize your documents/items. Great for documents. Roll Top "Remington Rand Library Bereau Div." file desk
Remington Rand. Library Bureau Div. made in USA, this info is on the original brass tag on the back of the desk' The roll top is in excellent shape, the canvas is all in contact. The desk itself needs refinishing or leave it as it is, I cleaned the years of dirt off it, as it came out of a storage unit. I took a picture of one of the legs, the bottom of the legs where chipped, probably from being pushed around. I did some repairs on them. I also put plastic feet on the bottom so this does not occur again. The inside has an original board that is adjustable, there are two metal L shape bars on the inside front and back panels. For auction is one of two available fantastic vintage Remington Rand"Aristocrat" metal index card filing cabinets. It is in excellent original condition and has a wonderful streamlined design. It is painted a soft turquoise green color. And has pale gray drawer fronts. It has been thoroughly cleaned inside and out. There are a some scratches here and there(mostly near the four round impressions on top from stacking) but no major wear. It features eight sliding removable trays with 76 flip-up heavy green cardstock index card holders in each tray; the unit holds 608 cards total! Each holder has notches that allow it to accept either 3"x5" or 4"x6" index cards. As well as a clear plastic label holder/protector at the bottom of each one. The drawer fronts also have a narrow metal label holder. There is a small dent ... moreon the very top near one edge. These are perfect for storing photographs or postcards!
