The 6 drawers are exactly alike and each has 2 drawer pulls and name tag that are made of Brass. The measurements of the cabinet are 23 1/4" X 9 1/4" X 7" high. Vintage Remington Rand Kardex Industrial Steampunk File Cabinet Here is something really cool and really heavy. I think these filing system are from the early 20th century? There are 15 drawers in each totaling 30 draws. Which still have the file separators which lay flat. They hold up to about 59 indexes It is in vintage condition with appropriate wear but no signs of abuse. The exterior could use work. Some of the exterior sides are delaminating, it seems that the outer finish is pealing. The draws seem to be solid wood with nice wood grain. The card shown is 5.25 x 8" The card slips into a clear plastic strip on the leading edge. This strip holds the card in place. It stand 22.25" tall. 27" deep and 11.5" I tested them all and all worked fine. My inspection found no broken draws and no sign of repairs. Nice vintage wood file drawer cabinet. It measures 24 inches deep. 14" wide, and 13-1/2" tall. I don't know what type of wood it's made out of. Not oak, not pine, maybe not maple, perhaps ash? Some type of light-colored, fine grained hardwood. The frame parts of it are solid, the inset panels are made of plywood. VINTAGE 16 MULTI DRAWER REMINGTON RAND KARDEX INDUSTRIAL FLAT FILE CARD CABINET
Please note that this is a PICK-UP ONLY auction because this item is very heavy. I'm located in Manasquan. NJ, which is about 1.5 hours South of NYC and 1.5 hours East of Philadelphia. This is a very cool industrial metal file cabinet that's from the early to mid 1900's. It contains 16 drawers that slide out and fold down. Each drawer has 65 individual slots which can protectively store& organize your documents/items. It can organize a minimum of 1040 items. Great for documents. Photos, artwork, postcards, receipts, ephemera collections, paperwork, or anything else you can possible insert into the slots& drawers. The Kardex measures 10.5" wide. 20.5" tall, and 24" deep. It shows some signs of wear from decades of use(see photos) But it still functions as it's intended. It's maroon in color, but can ... morebe painted if maroon doesn't work for you. It's a great discussion piece that's also functional. I have a second Kardex listed on eBay that is a different model. Check out my!
