It has some minor rust stains on the bare metal parts, and on the cast iron base is a thicker spot of rust bubbles(This is only a cosmetic issue) I have the owners manual and a Foley Bellsaw catalog. There ... moreis a floor standing model based off this machine but this one is the bench mounted model. The original owner mounted it on this wooden frame instead of a bench. The toggle switch is working backwards. When I switch it to the OFF position it turns on. It turns off in the ON position. The toggle switch that is on it feels like a three way switch so I assume it has been replaced. But it works it's just backwards. The machine turns on and the motor sounds strong. It doesn't make any funny sounds or smells or smoke. Cosmetically this machine has some rust stains and a few spots of deeper rust bubbles on the heavy base. It is also dirty and used looking. It does not look new not even close. I see no obvious signs of damage. I am not familiar with this type of tool so look over my photos real close. I think I have all the parts but I am not positive. I have never sharpened a blade. I have only turned it on to make sure the motor runs. Maybe this works, maybe not. I give no guarantees. Fedtro Spin-O-Matic Razor Blade Sharpener The item appears to me to be in unused condition and is still attached to it's original packaging card. But because of some of the cosmetic wear to the housing I am offering it as used. It does show some cosmetic wear with scratches, rub wear, yellowing along the seam of the plastic housing, oxidation to metal parts, rub wear, and possibly other general wear. The card shows wear with scratches, printing wear, scuff marks, edge wear, dulling corners, separation of cardboard layers, staining, discoloration, fading, creases, bends, and possibly other general wear. The card sits folded in half and has to be propped up in order to show the full card. Be sure to check all of the pictures, including the additional pictures below this description, for the best idea of the cosmetic condition of the item. ... moreI do not know how effective the item is at sharpening razor blades. The item appears to me to be in working order and it is tested using the demonstration blade included. The demonstration blade spins a half turn when the crank is turned one full turn, making it possibly for the item to sharpen all sides of a double edged razor blade. The cardboard packaging has a copyright date of 1968 printed on it. Knives of Alaska Hunting Combo Set Sheath Sharpener Skinning Fixed Blade Caping
This estate piece is a Knives of Alaska hunting combo set. The set includes the knife sharpener. Sheath, fixed blade sure grip skinning knife and a smaller knife that I assume to be a"caping" knife. They are both fixed blade with the sure grip handles. They look to have been carried a few times, as the sheath has some wear to it. The smaller, caping" knife doesn't look to have ever been used, but the skinning knife with guthook has some wear to it on the blades. The sharpener also appears to have been used. These knives were made in the USA. They would make a great Christmas gift for the deer hunter in your life!
