Vintage 1985 World Scan-Globe Lighted w/Pinpoint Spotlight ~ Denmark Karl Harig
I am offering a vintage 1985 World Scan Globe made in Denmark by Karl F. Harig. Cartographer. It has a lighted globe that also features a Pinpoint Spotlight and being able to move it and place it on any location on map by adjusting the Latitude and Longitude dials. The rotating portion of globe is approx 12" it stands approx 17" tall, base is approx 8" in diameter and all in like new condition. I purchased this new and was on desk for a very short while and has been safely stored for several years. My one picture shows close-up of paper on base bottom, it is the instructions for changing the light globe. The colors on the globe are more outstanding in person than my pictures show. Here is a Vintage Hammond World Globe Light This world globe is 12" inches and is marked Hammond Scan-Globe(A/S Denmark) 1972 A/S Edition 1983. And the cartography by Karl F. Harig. This world globe was rewired and is safe. Along with adding a cord to match the cord switch. An easy turn and the globe is on. A wonderful accent piece. Fun learning tool, and great night light. Only damage that I see is at the very bottom. Which it appears the film was torn a little, but it can't be seen and the tear doesn't affect it turning and display. Thanks for stopping by, David

Harig 6-12 surface grinder, chuck, new motor, extremely low hours, oiling works
Harig 6-12 surface grinder with extremely low hours and a new motor. This grinder has essentially been unused for about 20 years. Started the shop 15 years ago and this grinder had a cutoff wheel on it for a couple of years. Then was moved out and replaced with a Gardener 6-18 grinder with roller ways on both axes. Really a cadillc. Before that. It was owned by one of my customers who never even hooked it up. Teflon ways are in great condition. The automatic oiler works like it is supposed to Sale will include a Walker 6-12 manual magnetic chuck. Pics available if you need them Sadly. Harig Uni-Dex Grind All Grinding Fixture 5C Used
You are bidding on a used precision Harig Uni-dex Grind All Grinding Fixture made by Harig Manufacturing Corporation. It accepts 5C Collets and this unit has two nuts to tighten it down. I do not have the little clamps that clamp on the face of the mechanism for stops but the stop pin is there. There is some engraving on the unmachined portion of the top part of the base from the company that used this tool at one time. The 5C taper seems to be intact. The unit spins and indexes fine. The index pin when put in position indexes every 15 degrees inbetween indexes. There is a locking screw on the face of the indexer and it does work. It comes with two different nuts to tighten down the 5C collets. This unit has not been tested as far as to grinding with it. The runout seems to be o.k. with an indicator. This needs to be cleaned up. It comes ... morewith the original case. This is a very handy tool for a surface grinder. The new price for one of these is over $1700. There is two mounting holes in the base to mount it to a plate. Even though this is a used item. Vintage Scan-Globe A/S. Made in Denmark, Light Up Spot Globe This is a 1987 Scan-Globe made in Denmark. It is known as a World Spot globe. The original copyright date was 1972. The cartographer was Karl F. Harig. This is a really cool globe. It lights up beautifully and the base contains two dials. One for the latitude and one for longitude. You simply dial in the latitude and longitude for whatever location you desire and a pinpoint spot of light appears on the globe to highlight that location. See the third picture in which Zambia has the pinpoint of light to highlight it. The legend shows different land types by color. Such as forest, tundra, snow and ice, etc. The globe is done in the visual relief style which features ocean currents warm and cold, land& ocean topography, city populations, international and other boundaries, and much ... moremore. The pictures illustrate just how beautiful this globe is. The colors are bright. Vivid and brilliant. There is no loss of map and the base is a plastic faux wood done in a black color, with a diameter of 8" This globe easily comes apart to change the light bulb(just a regular small light bulb as used in a night light) and the instructions for changing the light bulb are on the bottom of the base. The globe is a 12" globe and 17" tall and 38" circumference around the equator. It is in excellent condition. It h as longitute and latitude dials on the base stem which controls the built-in spot lighting. In-line on/off switch. The electrical cord is 5' and in excellent condition also. Uses 25 watt bulb This was made with Russia was still Union of Soviet Socialist Republics(USSR) When the light is turned it reveals the underwater terrain of the ocean floor. The globe turns just fine. It definitely has that aged vintage look. The base has some rust spots in the shape of a rectangle on each side where I looks like a label of some kind was adhered at one time. This globe is a great history lesson. Especially highlighting the USSR. Myanmar is also still Burma. Harig Uni-Dex Grind Grinding Fixture uses 5C collets
Harig Uni-Dex Grind Grinding Fixture uses 5C collets that are easily available. No personal markings. The handle fixture has been repaired, the taper piece were the collet goes in has a grind mark on it(will still accept collet no problem) and the stop screw on the index is missing(please see pictures) The index pin when put in position indexes every 15 degrees as it should. Has nut to tighten collets. I tried to price this right, feel free to make me a offer. I have no way or the knowledge to test this, I'm giving a 14 day return on it to protect everyone's best interests.
