CLAUSING Lathe Production Tooling Cross Slide 14" Vari Speed 1400, T Bolts Block
Used. CLAUSING"Gang" or"Production" Tooling Cross Slide with Tool Holder Block and 10"T" Bolts. Has been used on a 14" Vari Speed Clausing Lathe, Model 1400. May fit other models, I don't have any other fitment information. A chance to pick up a rare piece of production tooling for a Clausing Lathe! The cross slide is about 18" over all length x about 5-3/4" wide and about 2-7/16" thick. There are two"T" slots that are interreputed by a 2-13/16" wide area where access is given for the four"oiler buttons" and the mounting bolts for the crossfeed nut. The"T" slots measure about 9/16" at the top and about 1.015" at the bottom and are about 2.750" center to center. The dovetails are about 3-1/8" point to point" at the widest point ... moreof the dovetails. Without a gib. Tool holder block is about 3-3/4" x 4-7/8" overall and stands about 1-7/8" high. It has a single"T" slot running down the center and 4 mounting holes. The back side has a"key slot" with a key installed with 2 flat head screws. For secure positioning at 90 degrees on the cross slide slots. The"T" Bolts have a base that is about 1" square and 5/16" thick. The stud is threaded 1/2"13. The overall height of the"T" Bolts is about 1-7/16" 4 of the 1/2"13 nuts are a thinner"jam" type of nut and the other 4 are a little thicker. The hex surface and corners on the nuts are a little damaged from use. Please examine the pictures. Auction is for the"T" slotted cross slide with oiler buttons. Keyed tool holder block and(10) T" bolts with nuts only. There is no gib, gib adjusting screw or crossfeed nut assembly or any other loose parts. There is some light surface rust/discoloration from being in storage. The working surfaces have a few light nicks and dings but in good useable condition overall. The sliding surfaces may need to be cleaned up with a stone.
