This is a tin container with a hinged top. It's the 16 oz. size of MONARCH COCOA. It's 6 inches tall and 3 1/4 x 3 1/4 in width and depth. Printed lithograph container in good condition dates around 1923. Made by Reid Murdoch& Co. Chicago, Ill. Overall the tin has light rubbing wear and small rubbed spots. And in some places the metal has darkened slightly. Condition is st ill good enough to add this cocoa tin to a collection. MONARCH RANGE THIMBLE EXCELLENT CONDITION
I have had this thimble for over 45 years. I got it when my grandmother passed. I think it is in excellent condition, but I am not an expert in this it is just my opinion. You can see from the pictures that it is in"GOOD" shape. I think it is made of aluminum, but I'm not sure ot that either, I know a magnet doesn't pick it up. Furness Bermuda, long known as the cruise line for honeymooners, gave up the ghost in 1967 and closed up shop. The OCEAN MONARCH for a short time became the VARNA and sailed the Canadian Maritimes. It appears that the Monarch Investment Company issued the interim certificate for Dixie Oil and Gas Company of Colorado. It was issued on December 1. 1926, Cert. 53, and signed by the President C. B. Van De? The certificate was printed by Out West Printing a Stationary of Colorado Springs. Colorado. The black-edged certificate is in good shape with no holes or tears. There is a lovely vignette in the upper left of a Greek looking woman with a bright star on her headband. The back is green edged and shows one small stain in the lower right side(the backside of the seal) The raised seal is on the lower left side of the document and is intact and legible. Vintage Monarch (Knapp-Monarch Co.) Travel Iron
This old travel iron was made by the Knapp-Monarch Company from Webster City. Ohio. You can see by the bottom plate that it has been used in the past as there are some scorch marks on it. The green electrical cord is about 4 1/2 feet long. The handle is tourquoise"ish" green, maybe better to call it light green. The cord is held up from the iron itself with a spring and there is a stand at the bottom. The box states that it is 110-120 volts 325 watts. The metal plate on the iron says 110 volts 400 watts. Included in the original box, is a screw in adapter plug made by Best that states it is 660W. 250V. I was not brave enough to plug this in, so I don't know if it works or not, I didn't want to wreck it. I is pretty heavy. According to my scale, 2.5 pounds. It is certainly a collectable, although I cannot guarantee that it is working. I could find nothing on this microphone on the internet. The information I had when my company bought this is missing. We have had this for years and pretty much was forgotten. I am sure this was meant to used with reel-to-reel tape machines. I think it dates back to the 70's. This is a very nice vintage coffee jar. From the"Monarch Finer Foods" company. The tin lid has whats left of a"McLaughlin's Manor House Coffee" logo. It's a Gallon sized jar. With the"Monarch Lion's Head" embossed logo on the side. The bottle is in very good shape. With no chips, dings or major scratching(please see our pictures) The tin lid is rusted and has a couple of dings. The jar has some staining on the inside.
