The weather station gauges are mounted on a cherry wood base. There is a small crack in the wood where the gauges sit that has been repaired. I tried to show it in one photo. But it is hard to see. The globe is in great condition and quite nice. The weather stations include a thermometer that measures in Celsius& Fahrenheit a barometer& a hydrometer that measures humidity. All 3 of these instruments appear to be in good working condition. There are two(2) dials below the globe for longitude& latitude that work. Turning the one dial turns the globe& turning the other dial turns a small spot light inside the globe that will point to the position ... moreyou have chosen. The globe contains historical discoveries by famous explorers including Robert Perry. James Cook, Leaf Erickson, The Nautilus Voyage& others. On the bottom side of the base you will find the instructions/directions for changing the bulb. The electric cord is in excellent condition& it has a rotating on/off switch on the cord.
