It takes about 2 pounds of force to move the slide and it has zero clearance or lost motion without using gibs. The total travel is just over 1 inch. There are 4 pieces bolted together making up this slide. We believe this is a wheel dresser or some sort of EDM tooling but we are not sure. This tool was made with remarkably close tolerances. The base is 2-1/4 x 2-1/2 inches and has two slotted counter-bored holes for mounting. It also has 3 total 10-32 thread holes and 3 total 1/4-20 threaded holes. The top half measures 2 x 3-1/2 inches and has 3 thru holes with 3 thumb screws and 4 total 10-32 threaded holes. There are 10 total 2-56 threaded holes on both ends. There are four marked"No. 0" on the back of the head while one is marked Hex 1" on the handle. I took alot of pictures so you could see their condition.
