You are bidding on a nice old super heavy duty boring bar holder. The bore is 1.5" I am not sure what it was made for. It is stamped 12" P&W. Obviously you could modify this to fit any lathe. It measures 1-3/4" from the mounting surface to the center of the bore. The key is 1.25" and the clamping bar is 1.75" wide x.35" thick. The bore is in great shape. I am not sure you can buy them like this any more, but if you could it would be very expensive. Bid with confidence, you won't be disappointed. This is a wall chart for Clausing back-geared screw-cutting lathe 12 in. 35" WIDE X 23 1/2" HIGH. It was printed by Clausing. Atlas printing Co, that is the statement at the bottom of the poster. I think Sears and Roebuck lathes are the same. This is not a reproduction. It is the real thing. It states the cost of 25 cents and no zip code, that tells you something. It shows the function and care of lathe parts. It has a couple of tears(see pictures and one hole) It has never been folded which is remarkable. It is has some dirt stains on it. Clausing 6300 series geared head machine lathe in good condition. Made by Atlas Clausing of Kalamazoo. Michigan. Actual model of lathe is 6319. 12-3/4" swing, 33-1/2" between centers, 59" bed length, 68-1/2" overall length. 2-speed, 1-1/2 HP, 3-phase 220 volt motor. Quick-change gear box for left and right hand threads from 4 to 224 threads per inch. With the 2-speed motor. Step pulleys, back gear, and a variable frequency drive(not included in auction) this lathe can have a very wide and very versatile range of spindle speeds. The lathe originally used 5-step pulleys giving a total of 18 speeds specified as 15 to 1300 rpm(10 speeds direct drive, 8 speeds on back gear) The pulleys on this lathe were changed at some point to 4-step pulleys, giving 16 speeds of approximately 20 to 1730 rpm. However, by moving the countershaft ... morepulley over slightly, there are an additional 12 speeds ranging from 30 to 1100 rpm. Two new drive belts are included to accommodate this speed range change. I have the lathe running off of a variable frequency drive inverter(phase converter) the motor runs very nicely at very low frequency(speed) down to a spindle speed of around 5 rpm on the lowest belt/pulley combination and back gear. Lathe is equipped with an Atlas 7-1/2" 3-jaw universal chuck. With a spare set of reversed jaws for holding larger work pieces. 4-position turret type tool post for 1/2" bits. New tailstock chuck. Rotary switch for 2 speeds in forward, and 2 speeds in reverse. Ways have an acceptable amount of wear for a lathe of this age- about 0.005 to 0.008" near the headstock. Backlash on cross slide and compound slide are not excessive. Gibs are in very good condition. With smooth movement of the slides. Selling my Clausing 8520 Small Mill. This is like a scaled down Bridgeport with a movable knee and quill. It has a MT#2 taper spindle. Which goes up to 1/2" diameter collet. I have seen an ER40 collet holder that would take you up to 3/4" diameter. It has a 3/4 HP motor which is 3 phase and runs with the phase converter attached. W ith the machine comes the following accessories: Cabinet base with storage inside(or can put coolant tank there) Static Phase converter to convert 220 1 phase for the 3 phase motor currently installed Milling Vise with handle(see photo for condition) Collets for the mill Two drill chucks ETTCO#2 tapping attachment. This came with the machine but I have never tapped with it. Therefore I cannot guarantee its operation, but I did hook it to the spindle and run it and it seems ok For its age it is in good ... morecondition. The ways are in decent shape and it runs pretty quietly. It has 6 possible speeds by changing the belt configuration. The axes have minimal backlash for a machine of this age. This is a good running lathe. Needed a larger lathe for my shop that's why its up for sale. It comes with every thing in the pictures. It has a coolant pump and hose inside the center door. Most of the tool holders are aloris and a few are armstrong. The bed has some grinding under the chuck for more clearance nothing rides on that spot. The steady rest needs the fingers to function. This machine runs quiet. Will load onto truck free. Pratt Burnerd collet set and collet closer.

The tracer attachment seems to work very well, runs smooth. This allows either a round or flat template to be installed behind the bed and the tracer will duplicate it. Can be used to cut tapers as well. The lathe is on the original cabinet with some dinges, scratches and minor dents. The lathe itself was repainted because most of the paint had worn off. The old oil cups on the carriage have been replaced with new ones as the old ones were easily broken. The ways look good, no lip, very smooth with minor scratches. The backlash is about 1/8 turn on all handles. The power feed and threading work fine. Lathe runs fine and all functions seem to work good. This lathe has the most tooling of any lathe we have had. Spindle is L0, bore is about 1 1/2" This machine can be picked up from my shop which is 10 miles south and east of downtown Saint Louis. Missouri, forklift loading is free.
