This auction is for used Avid BB7(mountain) mechanical disc calipers and used Shimano XT 9 speed(ST-M750) shifter/brake lever units(triple front shifter. 9 speed rear) The XT brake levers use the cable pull ratio that is compatible with linear pull/V-brakes, which is also the correct cable pull ratio for the Avid mountain-type mechanical disc brakes. These brake levers have Shimano's servo-wave feature, which gives excellent power and modulation for this type of brake lever and works especially well with mechanical disc brakes. All of these parts are in good working order, but are used and do have cosmetic flaws as shown in the photos. The brake pads are Avid(organic) and have moderate wear. Also included in the auction are three used Avid 160mm G3 Clean Sweep rotors. One used Avid 185mm G3 Clean Sweep rotor, and two other used Avid 160mm(non-Clean ... moreSweep) rotors. Used pair of Shimano hydraulic brakes- Levers. Calipers and rotors and lines. 180 mm(7" rotors included. Worked well, squeal free, but for racing I opted for the new Shimano XT which are more powerful and can handle more abuse. For a cheap option instead of mechanicals this could be a great option. Pads are organic, and rotors are not designed to be used with semi-metallic pads. Normal 6 bolt pattern.

Schwinn also used Weinmann brakes but this is for the newer Super Sport that came with Dia-Compe brakes. These pieces don't have any rust on the bolts. Washers or nuts. The aluminum has only slight patina but is not shiny. Perfect for a"Show" restoration where details are important.

Nice set of flat Q/R levers. Small amount of pitting but overall in good condition. NO rust. One of the nuts on the front is a little hard to thread on. But does not seem to be cross-threaded as I have taken it on and off several times. Also, the cable clamp nuts are different- one has a recessed bolt hole and the other does not. This is a beautiful new Dura Ace EX short reach brake set which includes levers and cables. This was part of Shimano's 2nd series Dura Ace groupset which came out late 70's or early 80's. With the EX group Shimano started the path of innovation beyond Campagnolo which eventually resulted 10 years later in the first integrated brake/shifter levers. This brake set is in pristine condition including the rubber brake hoods which are still soft and pliable. The brakeset is the nutted type which will fit frames not designed for allen nuts. These are lightly used front and rear Avid BB7 Disc brake calipers and Avid Speed Dial 7 adjustable brake levers. Auction includes Front and rear calipers and front and rear levers. But ONLY 1 disc brake rotor. You will need to supply a rotor of your own(cheap) to use this set. Also includes the rotor mounting screws for front and rear. I used these for my greenway bike- used only on pavement and hardly used at all until I upgraded to a real 29er with hydro brakes. That said. These BB7s are awesome, and I wouldn't be lying if I said I considered replacing my hydros with these. They are THAT good. They're used. But it pretty good condition. 56 cm commuter bike, three speed internal hub, back pedal and a front disc brake
This bike has been an absolute dream for me! I would ride it back and forth to Hunter College every day almost every day of the week for two years. Never a big fan of jogging this made for a great way for me to get some everyday exercise! And great for just getting around the neighborhood. I have grown out of it now after I grew stronger with this bike. It is a great city bike with it's internal hub which allows for a much cleaner transmission. Preventing it from getting dirty. The back pedal break may take some getting used to. I thought it was a great help actually. Great disc break is fast acting with it's rotor. The seat stem can be easily adjusted to fit many different sized riders. And It is light as a feather! with a strong aluminum frame!

Chorus Monoplaner brake calipers slimmer arms very good condition vintage rare
I worked in a couple of shops and even owned one for a while. I’ve noticed in every shop there is one guy buying stuff and squirreling it away. Well. I was one of those guys. Offered today is a nice pair of Chorus Monoplaner calipers. With one arm passing through the other. The torques on the pivot bolt are balanced and in the same plane, hence the name. These are in very good condition. There are a few flaws on the rear caliper only; some small specks caliper arm, one is visible by the logo. There is a small scratch underneath, on the split arm. The pinch bolt has slight rust, left as is. Despite these flaws, it is in good condition and the front is even better. The pads have not been adjusted up and down; the slots are clean. There are miles left in the pads, please see the pictures for your best guess. These come with a long bolt for the ... morefront, often needed for a carbon fork. I’m not sure what year these are, but they are a later model. Early models were very wide where the pad attaches, like the Athena brake. In later models like these, the arm is slimmer. Additionally, the slimmer arm is less common, being near the end of the production run of the Monoplaner design.
