For your consideration is a set of Dia-Compe Gran Compe NGC400 alloy brake calipers. They have been cleaned and lightly polished and are in what I would consider very nice vintage condition. Recessed mount with quick release and barrel adjusters for both front and rear. They still have good spring action and are good structurally. Some minor surface rust on the quick release handle is about the worst thing aesthetically. VeloBase shows the min reach as 40mm and the max reach as 50mm which lines up with my measurements as well. This is one Bendix model 76 coaster brake hub. 36 hole Includes ONE sprocket of your choice EITHER one 16 tooth or one 19 tooth sprocket. All new old stock never used ever. But needs overhaul before use. The 35 plus year old grease needs to be replaced with fresh grease. I can do it for $40 labor. Has a small amount of discoloration from storage on the hub shell which will come right off with a little steel wool and is very light and small. This will be removed and hub shined up real nice with the overhaul. Send message with purchase stating of you want the overhaul so I can add the $40 to the invoice. Up for auction is a vintage pair of Shimano Dura Ace BA 200 brake calipers and levers. According to velobase it is from the 7100 series. One of the first Dura Ace starting in 1978. They are used but in excellent condition. The calipers seem to be complete, they show only minor signs of use. The brake pads are from Shimano with about 80-90% of the tread left. Please see pics. Oxidation on the steel parts is not an issue. The levers are also Shimano Dura Ace. They are in good to very good condition. Mountain Bike Brake/Shift Levers Shimano STI ST-MD50L & R 3x7 Gears Circa 1990
These Shimano Total Integration“rapid-fire” shifters/brake levers come from a Giant Sedona mountain bike that was new in 1990 or 1991. Shimano began production of integrated shifters/brake levers in 1989. So these are early models. Up and down shifts are made with the thumbs, unlike later models, which use the index finger to shift into smaller tooth gears. The“L, or left, of the pair moves the front derailleur between three chain rings. The“R, or right, moves the rear derailleur between seven cogs. The Giant was ridden about 700 miles. Mostly on trails, with a cyclometer on it, and probably no more than that before the‘meter. However, it did some hard miles on a bike rack on the back of a camper. The levers were cleaned and lubricated after removal from the bike. Cable barrel adjuster bolts are included. The wire ties you see in the images ... moreare holding the brake adjusters in their assigned position. The bottom side of the protective plastic housing of the rear(right) shifter is broken. See photos. Nevertheless. The brake levers and shifters were still working as designed when removed from the bike on 5 Feb 13.
