Shimano XT brake calipers, V-brake style, XLNT cond, low miles!
Up for auction is a lightly used set of XT V-brakes from Shimano. These are BR- 75 0 brake calipers. Some the finest V-brakes ever produced. They provide incredible stopping power. Great modulation and killer looks in lightweight, durable package. They were removed from a bike that saw only a few hundred miles of use. The bike they were rem oved from spent it's life near the coast. So there is some light surface corrosion on some of the steel ha rdware bits. The pads show very minimal wear. Great retro 22mm caliper mount rear Hayes disc brake. Ideal for any retro build. This came out of my GT STS DH about two years ago and it was acting up a little like it needed to be bled. After that it just sat in my garage so it will need a little service. Brake lever is a little bent as you can see in the picture but didn't affect performance. Sold as is. CalipeR works but the master Cylinder either needs to be bled or rebuilt. No idea. If you press the lever, the caliper still moves so I guess it's not bad. NO PADS INCLUDED. Front brake caliper says 810 pretty good chrome on fender brace. Caliper,and hub. Hub is scripted"Schwinn Approved" one side and stamped"model 200" on other. Rim chrome worn, missing in areas, rust and/or pitting scattered all over it, missing one rusty spoke and the others are there but not super- tight, and id say tightening them willl never happen cuz threads rusty. It spins damn straight and has a mint treaded, surface weather-cracked but solid runner tire with same chain link tread as the old U.S. Royal Ballooner Tires.but spokes look crappy. Before anyone asks, If buyer only wants the hub, I'll deduct $15(including shipping reduction) ... morefrom selling price BEFORE checkout. And I WILL KEEP THE RIM AND TIRE. The Ultegra ST-6510 support both double and triple drive trains. Levers work perfectly, both shifting and braking. Cosmetically they are a pretty good with exception being the common failure of the name face plate cracking and falling apart from UV and general use. There are scuff marks on the left shifter and minor scratches on both. Please see the detailed pictures of both. I've had no issues with them. 185 mm Rear Disc Brake -- Gator Brake 4 Piston -- Less than 50 Miles !!!
Here is a 4 Piston rear Disc Brake made by Gator Brake. This system has less than 50 miles on it and is in'like new' condition. I showed the one scratch on the back of the caliper in the pictures. I believe this was originally set up for a 160 mm rotor. I had it set up with this 185 mm rotor with some spacers on a lawwill frame. I will include a used 160 mm rotor with the package as well. This brake was mounted on a bike that I built up and have not been able to ride much so I am parting it out. If you have any questions please send me an email. Thanks for Looking!
