Lathe Steady Rest 10” swing. 3-1/4” capacity, It is 5” wide at the base. From the base to the center of the spindle is 5-1/8” On the base, the top point of the V is approximately 2” to the spindle center. Cast on the steady rest is the number 1?125(I can’t make out the? digit) and cast on the base clamp is 9-127(based on the part number on the base clamp I believe this steady rest is a South Bend.item) This item is in very good condition. About the dimensions of this item. Atlas Steady rest from 10 inch th54 lathe
This steady rest is used and missing one of the brass 3/8 square inserts. Easily replaced with a 2 inch piece of brass 3/8 square stock. It has the locking plate for the bottom. Everything else is in working order. I never used it. If you have any questions or need a different picture contact me. The casting has the numbers cast into the pieces 10-326T and 10.326-B The opening is apx 3 inches across so 2 3/4 +/ working diameter.

VINTAGE LE BLOND, ATLAS, LOGAN,SOUTH BEND LATHE STEADY REST & FOLLOWER REST
Up for auction is this steady rest and follower rest that are from the same estate.The relative claimed they were from a Le Blond lathe. But no I.D.however these came with gear wheels that appear to be Logan Neither have an I.D. however the steady rest has A C 291 on 1 side. The center if I'm measuring correctly is 5 9/16' from center to the bottom edge. There is some rust and pitting it is in very good working condition.The follower rest again doesn't have a makers mark, but there is a no. A53A1B. There is some rust and pitting, but again in good used working condition if someone has questions I will try to answer them as best I can if someone has information about their maker it would be much appreciated. You are bidding on a tailstock work support or steady rest for a lathe. The taper is#2 Morse taper. This is for supporting the end of a shaft that does not have a center in it for turning. Original steady rest for a 6" 618 Atlas or 6" Craftsman 101 lathe. Stamped with part number M6-326. In good working condition as shown. Here in the past I have sold items that had been bid on and the winning buyer for some reason does not pay. E-Bay has a tool that lets a seller after 7 days of non-payment for the item open a case sending the winning bidder a notice of non-payment and telling them they have five days to pay for the item. If the winning bidder does not pay within the five days. E-Bay closes the case and returns any funds that they had charged the seller and relist the item for the seller. Craftsman Atlas 101 21400 6" Bench Lathe Milling Chuck Steady Rest Tools
A great example of the craftsman 101 with almost all of the available attachments! This 6" bench lathe includes 15 cutting tools. Including but not limited to: left and right hand cutters, straight cutters, 2 boring bar holders and one bar, a knurling tool, 3 cut off tools, and many more. It also has its original tail stock and drill chuck w/ key, the VERY rare steady rest, the milling attachment(horribly expensive to purchase on its own) an original four jaw chuck, a nearly new 3 jaw chuck, chuck key, drill grinding attachment, rocker tool post& rocker, original belt pulley tensioner/ratio quick change, it's factory operators manual and ORIGINAL electric motor. I will also include the belts, which should have lots of life left, and some cutter bits. I have used this lathe for years for everything from making ammunition and gun ... moreparts to car parts, and other projects of all sorts. It has never failed to perform wonderfully. If is capable of threading as well, and has auto feed built in. The only issue to note is that the motor will need to have a new control box wired to the ends of the cord, the original broke a few months ago. I hate to sell this machine, but I am running out of room in my garage, and time in my schedule to use it. It is time to let someone else take over and have fun with it. There is a reserve but it is set at a very reasonable price.

I have a number of very clean, ready to go components.as follows: The 4 Jaw Chuck is made by"Power Companion Tools- USA" that mounts on a 1" x 8 TPI spindle. All jaws operate smoothly and it comes with the original key. There are a few marks on the jaws. But nothing that will affect its use(see close-up photo#7) The Steady Rest is marked"M6-326" All parts have been removed and inspected. It is missing some of the original blue paint and the bottom rail mount is a nice replacement. There are 6 change gears: 64. 54, 46, 36 and two(2) 32.
