Please note my excellent feedback and SATISFACTION GUARANTEE* Here is a beautiful antique. A Seagrave U109 fire engine bell that probably dates from either the 1930s or 1940s. It is 11-3/4" diameter at the skirt, 7" diameter at the shoulder, 8 inches from shoulder to skirt, 12" from the top of the finial to the skirt, and the clapper hangs out 2" from the bottom. The mounting arm bracket sticks out an additional 1-1/4" from the skirt. It weighs 36 lbs. It has"U109" stamped in the casting under the collar, and I am guessing the age from it's original condition and some online research. When I obtained it. It had brass showing through the chrome a bit, and a few scratches. I had a chrome shop remove the remaining chrome electrically, refinish it, copper plate it, polish it, nickel plate it, and finally ... morechrome plate it-a traditional triple plate finish. I put a coat of primer on the cast iron mounting arm, and four coats of enamel red paint; you can apply a finish coat of any color you wish, if desired. This bell is likely in better condition than the day it left Seagrave. It is ready to return to service. Or to be proudly displayed otherwise. Had the truck for 14 months then sold it in October 2011. During the time I owned the truck the racks were used about 10 times. Each time to carry the kayaks. After each use the racks were removed and stored indoors, so they were very lightly used. There are a few scuff marks on the racks. The largest scuff mark is on top of one of the horizontal bar which can be seen on one of the pictures. The truck bed was not square. The front of the bed was 6" narrower than the rear. Thus the upright supports would not sit flush on the truck bed sides. To allow the upright supports to be parallel I had to drill second hole on top of one of the upright supports, can be seen on one of the pictures. Will only ship to the continental USA. This is one of the cleanest trucks one will find. It was fully overhauled in 2010 from front too back with less than 900 miles and 30hours on the truck. It has like new 48" tall goodyear super singles. Powered by a 250 cummins and Allison 5 speed automatic transmission. M35A2 Bobbed Deuce Military Army 4x4 big truck USMC
What you are bidding on is an M35A2 that has been bobbed and painted. The interior has also been painted. Insulated, and carpeted. It has a White/Continental multi-fuel diesel engine with a 5-speed overdrive transmission. It has 90% tread 395/85/R20 tires that are 46 inches tall, which brings the top speed up from 55mph to right around 65mph. We used 8000lb rated commercial quality rear springs on this truck. This truck has 2 new batteries and a keyed ignition. The bed is the stock deuce bed that has been cut down and bolted to the frame. We do not weld the bed or anything ells to the frame like other builders do. Welding to the frame compromises the integrity of the frame. These frames were designed to flex and if you weld to them over time cracks will form at the welds. This truck was also sprayed with undercoating by the military. A windshield ... morewasher sprayer was installed on this truck. The shift knob is custom made and has a medallion inlaid on the top that reads“IN HONOR OF FALLEN SOLDIERS” The truck has a surprisingly smooth ride and because of the insulation and carpeting the ride is considerably quieter than a standard bobbed truck that only has a painted. Non-insulated floor. We used 2 spring ride seats in the cab with new cushions. Watch the video to see how well this truck runs! It was painted with military grade paint. We prefer cash or cashier’s check on pickup and require a $500 non-refundable deposit within 48 hours of sale unless other arrangements are made. ORANGE CRUSH METAL TRUCK-LONDONTOY DESCRIPTION: Orange Crush toy truck by Londontoy probably dating from the late 1940s-early 1950s. Measurements of the truck are 6 in. in length and 2 in. width. The box measures 6 1/8 in. length by 6 1/4 in. by 6 1/8 in. On the underside as seen in the photos. It says LONDONTOY BEVERAGE TRUCK MADE IN CANADA. NOTE: PLEASE MAKE SURE TO CLICK THE ARROWS TO THE SIDE OF THE OTHER PHOTOS UNDER THE LARGE ONE IN ORDER TO SEE ALL SIDES OF THE TRUCK AND BOX. CONDITION: The box has some staining as seen in the photos. One end does not close because the smaller piece that tucks into the box is gone. As well as some of the end of the larger piece with the advertising. The inside of this end has been reinforced with acid free tape. The flaps were hanging on by a thread and one had totally detached at some point. The three ... moredecals on the truck are all intact with no flaking. There are a few spots were the orange paint is gone such as on the top of the truck. It is about 6" x 12" Has some bends and rust, has 3 nail holes on the right side, and one bullet hole beside the 1, original white with raised black lettering. Fun to collect and display!
