Original E. Horton& Sons 4 3/8" diameter 3 jaw reversing scroll chuck and key. These three jaws were acquired with the chuck. They appear to be from a four jaw unit and it seems that the gentleman that owned the unit had used them. However they do not line up. Value is in the body and back plate- please bid accordingly. Horton 8" 6 Jaw Set tru Chuck 2 1/4 8 tpi Mount
Up for your consideration is a used. But fully functional 8" 6 Jaw Set Tru Chuck. This chuck has it's original back plate with a 2 1/4 8 tpi bore. The chuck jaws are fully adjustable with 3 of the set tru screws. These chucks work great on the original Logan it came off of and many of the larger Southbends. These chucks are relatively hard to find and the buy it now prices I see for them makes me feel bad for a home machinist trying to acquire one. I wish you well in all your inventing and this chuck will make it more accurate and enjoyable.

Horton 8" Independent 4 Jaw Lathe Chuck #150 For South Bend / Clausing
This is a Horton 8" 4 jaw lathe chuck. The backing plate bore is 1 1/2" x 10-TPI. This big chuck is in excellent condition. It has been cleaned and lubed and operates perfectly. The jaws are mint. The only minor flaw with this chuck is that the threads in the backing plate have a couple of tiny chips missing. But doesn't interfere with it's operation or function what so ever. I'm pretty sure that it fits Clausing lathes. This is a nice, big chuck for cheap money. Free insured shipping to the lower 48.

A local company is in the process of re-locating its machine shop facility. In doing so. The maintenance shop is being liquidated along with any surplus tools and accessories from the machine shop. As the pieces are released for disposition they will be listed for sale. I will do my best to describe the items accurately but sale is final so please feel free to ask any questions you might have. Offered here is an 8" diameter Skinner/ Horton 4 Jaw Chuck. 10 003 08 D03D. This chuck has a D1-3 Cam Lock Mount and had been used on a Monarch 10EE tool room lathe. This chuck should also be suitable for use on other model lathes that accept D1-3 tooling. I inspected the chuck as closely as I was able. The Chuck Body, Jaws, Slides and scrolls all look to be in good condition. The one thing I did notice is that on one of the scrolls the guide shoe ... moreseems to be a little worn, which allows for a little movement in and away from center. I don't think it is an issue but I wanted to mention it. Skinner Horton is a division of Cushman and this is a good quality chuck. Please note, there is no chuck wrench with the chuck.
