6" Cushman 3 Jaw Chuck from 10" South Bend Heavy 10 Lathe, 2-1/4" x 8 Mount
Offered here is a 6" Cushman 3 Jaw Chuck which had been used on a 10" South Bend'Heavy 10' Lathe. The chuck has a 1-1/2" center bore and a standard 2-1/4" x 8 mounting thread. The back mounting plate is an original South Bend. And it is marked 10L- 13L. The chuck came from a garage machine shop of a retired tool and die maker, and it had not been used in quite some time. The jaws open and close smoothly and the chuck wrench is included. In my opinion the chuck could use a thorough cleaning and I believe that this will make a nice general purpose chuck. Please note, only the set of jaws shown mounted in the chuck are included.

Offered here is a 7-1/2" diameter Cushman 3 Jaw Chuck. Model 3507. This chuck came from a home garage machine shop of a retired tool& die maker. The chuck is equipped with both sets of jaws(inside and outside) approximately 2" spindle bore, and the chuck wrench. As a result of sitting unused for a while the chuck could use a clean and polish. The jaws mounted in the picture are very nice and in my opinion look close to new. The outside jaws are nice as well but they have collected some grime and light surface rust so they should be polished. The back plate is an original South Bend, marked 10L-13L and has the standard 2-1/4" x 8 threaded mount. I was told that this chuck was used for a short time on a 13" South Bend Lathe which had a 2-1/4" x 8 spindle nose. It was then used on the 10" South Bend Heavy 10. ... moreIt should be suitable for use on other lathes which have the 2-1/4" x 8 spindle, such as Sheldon and Logan. Rohm 10" 3 Jaw Scroll/independent Camlock D1-8 Lathe Chuck Bison Cushman Buck
This is a really nice Rohm 3 jaw chuck. As you can see it has a scroll. But every jaw is also independently adjustable. It is marked forged steel. The jaws are in good shape. Mount is D1-8. The back of the chuck is marked made in Germany. The cam lock mounting plate is marked made in West Germany. The thru hole is 3" It has a few dings here and there, but is still a nice chuck. I took all jaws out and cleaned and inspected everything. The scroll and jaws are in great shape. I do not have keys for this chuck. This chuck would cost over $3000 to buy new. This is a 10" D-6 3 Jaw Cushman with smooth jaws. The jaws are reversing jaws. It is in Average condition. The non-serrated inner jaws are for turning delicate stuff but they hold well for normal machining. Weighing 69.9 lbs without a box this would normally carry quite a premium to ship($75) By removing the cam-loc pins and jaws I can ship it in two boxes for $25.
