It looks to be almost like new. It is in really good used condition. I don’t have the original chuck key for it. Up for bid is a Bison 10" 3 jaw self centering lathe chuck#3352. It has reversible. Adaptable jaws. There are Dillon#201452 jaws on it now. Each one is missing a bolt, and they have been machined. The thru-hole is approximately 2 1/8" The back side has six mounting holes, I am not sure what it fits. The jaws operate smoothly, and it comes with a key. There are various scratches and nicks and machine cuts. Please ask any questions you might have. Make sure to look at the other chucks and tools that I currently have listed. This is a really nice Rohm 3 jaw chuck. As you can see it has a scroll. But every jaw is also independently adjustable. It is marked forged steel. The jaws are in good shape. Mount is D1-8. The back of the chuck is marked made in Germany. The cam lock mounting plate is marked made in West Germany. The thru hole is 3" It has a few dings here and there, but is still a nice chuck. I took all jaws out and cleaned and inspected everything. The scroll and jaws are in great shape. I do not have keys for this chuck. This chuck would cost over $3000 to buy new. 32" inch bison lathe 4 jaw chuck
This is a bison 31.5" 4 jaw independent lathe chuck. Plain back model with 8" bore. It has been sitting on our shelf for 10 years unused. We ran only 3 parts on it since purchase 12 years ago. It is undamaged and virtually unused. The back has an appx 15" diameter counter bore for locating an adapter. I believe this is a cast iron chuck. it is very heavy and will have to be picked up or shipped freight. I can strap it to a pallet and load it onto your carrier, but you must arrange shipping. This is a Bison 3 Jaw chuck. 6.25" actual diameter. Through hole is 1.65" so you can get a 1 5/8" rod through the headstock. This is a quality chuck rated at 4500 RPM, which is double the speed rating of most cheaper chucks. Most small lathes won't go nearly fast enough to overload this one. If you don't know, Bison makes very fine stuff, way superior to most all the stuff made overseas. This model retails for over $800 at Enco, MSC, etc. You can search on Bison 7-820-0600 to see that on the net. This is the standard Bison chuck. Not the adjustable Set-Tru model. This would be a great upgrade for a small lathe that has a Chinese or other junk chuck. It has a plain back. So you will need to get and install a mounting plate to fit your lathe. No chuck key is included in this auction. It takes a 7/16" square key. ... moreThere is a ball-type oiling port on the front face. It would clean up nice with a wire brush and some hand work, if you want to do so. The markings are faint, and do not show up in the pictures. Some of the pics show what looks like rust in the scroll threads, but it is old grease and dirt, not rust.
