John Deere Loader backhoe 18" bucket "slightly used"
This is a bucket to fit John Deere 310-410-510 series backhoes. The profile or shape of the bucket is commonly called a FORD profile or profile 4. It is a Gannon Brand( manufacturer) made on the west coast and known for making Heavy Duty Great quality buckets. Back to the profile 4. What this means is that it is a Longer bucket from pivot pin to cutting edge but a more shallow bucket from the edge of side cutter to the deepest part of the bell. essentially it has the same capacity as a standard bucket. Now why the different shape? The longer profile allow a few advantages. 1st it allow you to dig further underneath pipes and footings and other obstructions without moving. 2nd The longer length gives you more leverage and digging power at the teeth. 3rd It allows and operator to dig straight side walls when digging deeper than average pier ... morehole footings. all these are pluses that don't affect normal digging routines in the slightest fashion.
