MELROE BOBCAT M-500 SKIDSTEER SKID STEER BUCKET FORKS NEW TIRES LOADER
Up for your consideration is an older used Bobcat Melroe M-500 skid steer loader. I do not know a lot about this unit as I just recently purchased it with intent to go through the whole thing and make it real nice. Things have changed in life so I am going to part with it. It has a twin cylinder gas engine that runs good. I am going to guess around 24 horsepower or so. I just purchased 4 brand new rims and tires at a cost of $1500.00. The original ones will go with it. The old rims are in usable condition. However the tires are pretty junkie, but they do hold air. I was planning on putting something smooth on the old rims in case I ever wanted to do some work on a lawn, not to tear it up so much. There is also a second bucket and a set of forks with it as well. The other bucket is much nicer that the one that is on the machine now. The forks ... moreare in real good shape and not bent up or anything like that. Most, if not all of the of the hydraulic hoses have been replaced recently. It does have auxiliary hydraulics on it but the foot pedal that operates it is missing. The machine has a couple little oil leaks here or there, but that should probably be expected for a unit of this age. I have had the side covers off of it and looked everything over before I bought it and all the gears/sprockets and chains look really good. I changed all the fluids and filters when I bought it. There are a few quirky things that need to be addressed. The rubber hose that goes from the carb to the are filter needs attention. It is cracked and should be repaired. Probably find a universal radiator hose to work. The sticks will need adjusting as it tends to move in the neutral position. There are some pins that need cotter pins installed as there are bent screws and nails instead. A couple of grease fittings need replacing. The muffler is kind of cobbled, but does work and is quiet. Bobcat brand bucket with clam shell action. Fits all standard skid loaders including Case. Cat, New Holland, Takeuchi, Gehl, Volvo, Mustang, Kubota, Komatsu, etc. Standard 3/4" flat face couplers with heavy protective wrap. Cylinders are leak free around the packing and have good chrome, but 1 hose does have some seepage after repetitive use(pictured) 7 new Hensley teeth on good shanks with no lost motion. Dozer blade shows some wear, as does bucket face but overall very serviceable. Will strap to a pallet and load at no cost if buyer arranges and pre-pays all freight charges. Skid steer mount hydraulic driven screening bucket for sale. 72" wide. Good cutting edge and overall good shape. Comes with hoses and flat couplers. The hoses were a little short for my machine so be advised you may have to lengthen or adjust for your application. Looks to have not been used much comes with two different sized screens. I have tried this on a machine to make sure it is functional and it does work. As with all types of screens, the drier the material the better it works.
