The machine was decommissioned properly with plugs in the manifold and cartridge pump; the log entries in the software show that the capillary and gel cartridge plugs were installed in 2009, and if this is correct the gel tubing may need to be cleaned or replaced. It did not come with consumables(capillaries, waste bottles, or gel cartridges) so testing was limited to functionality that could be ascertained without actually running a sample, as follows: The system initializes and homes the plate carrier and comes to the ready state. The system detects the state of system components(doors, covers, plate carrier, temperatures, lasers, etc. correctly. The unit uses a special power supply which I do not have, so unfortunately I have no way to test the unit. The unit looks to be in good overall shape, with the only issues I can see being that on the back there's a small area that looks like there was some kind of plug screwed into it, which is now missing, and there are some very minor cracks in the plastic housing that would not effect functionality. The floor underneath block holes 1.2,5,and 6 has some rust spots on it. This is the only area on the entire machine, inside or out, where there is any rust, so I'm assuming that a sample was spilt inside of this chamber, therefore causing the spots of rust. There are a couple light scratches/scuffs on the exterior casing from normal use but overall it's in great shape cosmetically. This includes the 7 blocks shown only: 4x) 96-well blocks, 1x) blank block, and(2x) tip holder blocks. There is no power cord, manual, or any consumable included.
