This listing is for a SAVE PLUS Advanced Swimming Pool& Spa Intrusion Alarm. This is an immersion type alarm that works by detecting movement within the water. The sensitivity can be adjusted as appropriate for your pool. This model also includes a remote receiver unit that can be placed in the house. The manufacturer also states that the receiver can be connected with home security systems. Although since this unit is a few years old it may or may not be compatible with newer systems. This alarm has been used in an in-ground pool setting. But was installed late in the season and used for a very short time. By the next year we no longer considered it necessary. As can be seen in the photos. The electronic portion of the unit is in good condition cosmetically. I tested the unit just before writing this listing, and it seemed to be working ... morefine both in and out of the water. There is some yellowing of the plastic that supports it, though. It appears that the glue may be aging, and it may need to be reglued at some point in the future. In the pictures the flexible portion of the unit appears to be bent; I believe this is the result of it being bent during storage. It will straighten when installed using the brackets. As can be seen in the next few pictures, the mounting brackets are all there, as are the gaskets that accompany the round plates. See the photo of the installation guide to see how the hardware pieces go together. I have included photos of the box so you can see the information on it, and the last two photos are of the remote receiving unit. The rectangular mounting plate is intended to be attached to the pool deck using Velcro. However. We did not consider the Velcro secure enough on our concrete deck, so we attached it with silicone caulk instead. The pad formed by the caulk is still attached to the underside of the plate, since it could be a good starting point if you wish to take a similar approach. It can be removed if you prefer, though.
