Bemco Temperature chamber for fitment on two and four post universal testing machines. Chamber provides a temperature controlled environment from-100 to 1000 deg F for specimens under tensile and/or compressive loads. The chamber is mounted on a special stand that supports the weight of the chmaber so it does not need to mount to the universal testing machine. Stand is the rear loading stradle type and it lifts the chamber with a hydraulic cylinder. The are no hydraulic controls or supply included. Only the lifting cylinder. The unit was tested up to 800 Deg and it worked very well. The blower motor is very quiet and the controller maintains the setpoint to within a few degrees. Overall the chamber is in very good operating condition. Control box contains an Omega digital temperature controller and switches for the heater power levels and ... morecooling feature. The heaters are split-up into low. Med and high circuits with a switch corresponding to each circuit. The controller only powers the heaters that are switched on. Testing the chamber on medium heat yielded a warm-up time to 800 DEG F of about an hour. Using the high switch, the chamber heated to 800 DEG in about 10-15 min. The overtemp controller is mounted in the rear of the chamber and is adjustable via screw driver through the rear electrical panel. Being the chamber is an older model there are scratches and minor dings and due to the higher temperature capability. The interior stainless steel is has been darkened but none of these flaws prevent it from being presentable. Chamber ID: 14W x 20D x 20H, Chamber OD: 21W x 27(plus motor)H x 48D, Floor to chamber: 36" with chamber in lowered position. Lab-Line Instruments 846 Biotronette Mark III Environmental Chamber For sale- a Lab-Line Instruments Model 846 Biotronette Mark III Environmental Chamber. The chamber is in good physical condition overall. And it powers up as I think you can see in the pictures. Cosmetically the worst thing you can say about it is it is missing some paint on the right side where another item rubbed up against it on the way home from surplus. So that was my doing. Didn’t realize it until I already took the pictures. About 3 inches wide and an inch high, you could touch it up with some spray paint and I doubt anyone would ever notice. Of all the various lights only the front fluorescent lamps came on initially but at some point the back ones came on too so maybe the tubes just need replacing. All of the incandescent bulbs were burned out. But I have checked(and ... moretightened) the sockets, and with a new bulb they work fine. No incandescents are currently installed. When the thermostat is turned up the indicator light comes on and it sounds like a relay clicks. When you turn it down it clicks off. You can see where the thermostatic sensor is inside the thing. But what I cannot see is whether there is any sort of heat source built into the thing. Are the incandescent lights the heat source? I wasn’t sure the timer was working. But it appears to be, it just moves really slow because it’s a 24 hour timer and it doesn’t make the customary ticking noise. The only issue that I found during my inspection is that the fan didn’t come on when the switch was turned on. I thought maybe that was a timer thing or possibly just good old operator error. But I pulled the thing about half way out of the trailer to get pictures of another piece and when I did the fan came to life. I turned it off. But once the thing was loaded back in the trailer again it wouldn’t come on again. So I took the top off the thing. Only takes a few minutes with a screw gun. The blower assembly is a Dayton 4C440. I see a new one being offered currently on ebay for less than
