Espec PL-2SP Environmental Chamber For auction is my Espec PL-2SP environmental chamber. It works! Please see the datalogger record to see a representative program. This chamber is very accurate and stable. I’m not an equipment reseller. This was lab equipment for us and we used it for calibrating chart recorders and temperature data loggers. But this function has been phased out and it is too useful to have it just sitting there. This is a good machine. Please note: it actually works! We bought it from someone who said something like, removed from a working environment” and then had Espec do thousands of dollars worth of repair. The two main circuit boards were refurbished and it has worked great ever since. Espec is a really good company and their service is great. This unit has less than 8000 hours use and this is a tiny fraction of the ... moreservice life of this chamber. It has the reservoir for water so it is not necessary to plumb it to a water supply. Please note that you will have to prime the pumps if you intend to use the humidity function. We only used the temperature function and did not try humidity. It does have a brand new Espec sock on the wet bulb sensor. The only other thing is the service panel on the right side is missing a dowel or screw to hold the lower edge of the panel in. We just made sure the panel was against the interlock and it was never an issue. It is clean inside and out. And only has a couple of the inevitable bumps that happen to really heavy things. We’ll have this wrapped and banded to a pallet and ready for your transporation people to pick up. The operating range of this chamber is-40°C to +100°C. I would keep it if I had a use for it. The chamber features a digital temperature controller that covers-100 to +600 degrees F with the additional capability to go down to-300 degrees F if Liquid Nitrogen is fitted. I have tested the controls and the heater and these work as they should although the digital display does have a partially defective screen as can be seen clearly in the photos. I am unable to test the cooling as this requires either CO2 or LN2 which I do not have the ability to supply. Although this chamber does appear to be fully working I am selling it as-is due to the controller display defect which may have no effect on most applications. The specifications for ... moreheat up time are Ambient to 425 degrees F in 8 minutes and Cool Down time of Ambient to-65 degrees F in 2-1/2 minutes Electric requirements are 120 VAC 1800 watts so no special electrical service is needed. Caron 6010 Environmental Test Chamber Heat Cool Humidify Dehumidify We tested basic functionality and found that the heat. Humidify and dehumidify seem to function but the cool function did not. Dehumidify seems to stall when the level dropped to 35% or so. It seems like airflow is not sufficient. The A/C compressor runs and frost develops on the lines but cooling did not work. Dehumidify uses the A/C compressor and seemed to function to a certain extent. The unit is in good cosmetic condition as shown but may need some work depending on intended use.
