The plug-in is in very good used physical and electronic condition except. I noticed that the horizontal position knob must be to the left of center for the trace to be centered. The knob is not at the end of its travel, but at about the three-quarters position, probably an internal adjustment. And- this time base came from NASA Manned Flight Operations, so you get to own a little bit of history as well as a great plug-in! The pictures show the unit in operation. This is a very useful plugin if you have a 11801 or csa803 oscilloscope that is not working. You insert the plugin into the leftmost slot of the oscilloscope and connect a sma cable from the trig out to trigger input. You power on the oscilloscope and check for no errors on power up. The most common error on power up is a time base error due to battery failure. If everything is OK press the autoset and you should get a square wave on the screen. If you don't get a square wave power down the scope and move the simulator to the next slot and try again. A common failure is one dead slot due to someone changing a plugin without first powering down the scope damaging both the slot and plugin. If none of the slots work then the prescaler is bad another common fault. The trigger input connects to the prescaler and with nothing connected to the ... morejack a shorting sma plug is to be used to"cap" the input. The prescaler is sensitive to static charge damage. Simply walking around the room can deliver enough of static charge to damage it if the input isn't capped with a sma shorting plug.
